Congratulations! :)

I'm studying some random courses online right now and will properly move and go to university in fall 2014. It will be scary, but in a sense I'm also looking forward to it. Depends on the mood, really~

Congrats!

Don't forget us Class of 2013 high schoolers though~

umm... gratz

first year college advice go to class, don't slack the usually stuff you hear from anyone else

also don't change your major when you're already 3 years in

Thank you!

Also, if you think you might transfer schools in the future, be sure to check out the transfer equivalencies. I got burned when I transferred to a 4 year program and almost nothing transferred.

Just graduated magna cum laude tonight!

Let me tell you my story.

I originally got mediocre grades in high school. In 2004 I left home to go to college. I dropped out of college and returned home in 2006. After a year of rotting in my parent's basement, my parents urged me to go back to school. I got a part time job at McDonalds and applied at a local community college. I paid my way through 2 years there and earned an associate's degree. I transferred to a 4-year university, and because I had done so well in community college I qualified for scholarships. I maintained a high GPA and retained my financial aid. I took advantage of an undergraduate research experience and got a paper published in the International Journal of Applied Mathematics. This research experience helped me get an internship, where I impressed my mentors enough that they offered me a job after I graduated. I will be starting my job there next Monday.

I urge all of you to never give up before it is over. If you do poorly on an assignment, strive to do better. Learn from your mistakes. Always try to improve yourself. If you do these three things, you can turn your failures into success.

Congratulations to the class of 2013 - our life is just beginning!

December 2012 here! Degree in Mathematics and Japanese Language & Literature. Starting graduate school in a month. I also have a paper published (Journal of Number Theory), and I can really relate to your story. College was a long and arduous trip for me, and I'm glad that there are others out there who stuck through it and finished.

Congrats to all of the graduates of 2013 (regardless of where they are graduating FROM). It seems like a lot of people just think of a diploma or a degree as just another piece of paper, but it's way more than that (although some would argue with me). It's the culmination of years of work and perseverance, and is representative of all the goals you set, and should be the ticket to the goals you will set for yourself in the future.

Great job! And even better advice about striving through problems that may come up. It's the same for school, jobs, and everything in life. Keep moving, keep learning, keep improving.

I graduated from high school back in 2010. Since then I've been attempting to get into law school, failing it once and again, and did my military service during 2011. Now I'm working at an office updating information and still hoping I might get into college.
