If you don't know what Usagi Drop (aka: Bunny Drop), you should probably go watch it. It's only 11 episodes long, which is an odd number for an anime season. While I realize there is a manga, and the manga does "finish" though..

the anime took some liberties with the manga, which is probably why it's so much better. Normally it's the other way around, which is the exact reason why I think this really deserves another episode.

Now, I realize the last episode was September 16, 2011. So making a single episode nearly 2 years later is a little awkward, but with such a fantastic series they can get away with it (like Steins; Gate did XD). At least some resolution with Kouki's mom, and the "truth" behind Rin's father.

This anime is highly rated, but I find a lot of people haven't seen it. So while a forum post isn't going to convince IG to make another episode, a larger fan-base might. I really hope that anyone who reads this takes time out of their day to watch one of the best feel-good anime they'll ever see.

This so very much. Out of pure curiousity I checked out the final manga volume with a mind to ensure everything works out for these characters I'd grown so fond of and...just...eugh. That ending annihilates, and I really mean it reduces to dust, everything I loved about the anime. It's not really that it's controversial like School Days, that side of it doesn't bother me, just that it's utter contrived, nauseating crap.

To anyone who's been blessed with just seeing the anime, take those warm, fuzzy experiences and run away.

That ending would be much more traumatic than School Days'.

I think you misunderstood, or maybe I wasn't clear enough. Because the anime made a lot of changes already, then they could create another episode with a proper ending (an ending the manga never gave)

Its a slice of life anime about parenthood, therefore it does not require an actual ending and trying to give it one would be straying into the territory of that crappy Manga ending.

If you want an ending that takes place before the time skip then please enlighten me as to how one would go about doing that?

I think leaving it open ended was the only way they could have done it and thankfully that is what they did.

Even if they added one more episode I really don't feel it's necessary. I feel they got across what they wanted to and produced one of the best slice of life shows ever in my opinion.

This.

Also, the manga ending wasn't bad. It just wasn't everyone was expecting.

This doesn't need a last episode it needs a second season now that the manga has ended.

Personally I enjoyed both the manga and the anime.
