Most of the time once I've started an anime I will carry on until the end, even if it's not that great. But repetitive storylines and boring or unlikeable characters are reasons why I would stop. I stopped with Naruto Shippuden (because there's not even an end in sight. Way too many eps) and I'm very tempted to stop with To-Love-Ru

Because I have to juggle a social life, work, Kdrama and anime. Time management

Only if it doesn't pull me in or I don't find it appealing anymore, just like I did with ETOTAMA recently, I dropped that one after the first 8 episodes because I just couldn't stand the overly silliness and stupidity of it anymore

Sometimes it is the artwork but typically it is the story. I really dislike how a show will bait you in by using one genre (like action) in the beginning then switch to a fan service genre. I end up fast forwarding or skipping over the fan service but then it gets to be too much.

The only time I drop an anime is when it is boring/doesn't pull me in;

1. No plot

Other....

The style of the anime, the drawing, is usually the first problem for me, if I don't like the style of drawing then I just switch it off...

There are also certain genres that I just don't connect with, as soon as the anime swings that way I get irritated and move on to something better and I don't know why....

It's often the whole 'beating a dead horse' thing. Like when the story just literally becomes completely obvious.

Didn't want to watch any more Full Metal Alchemist after that little girl gets turned into a chimera. That was way too creepy for me.

I rarely ever stop watching an anime. I like to finish what I start. But there have been a couple that I just couldn't get in to no matter how hard I tried to get through them.

- boring/cliche characters
- nothing relevant happens

Lately, I've seen too many tropes. A show needs to be original to deserve my attention.
