I've decided... yes, i WILL apply.

1) Which position(s) do you want?
I am applying for the position of Media Moderator.

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)
So far…..
- I am pro in organizing things.
- I watched/streamed videos a lot, so I definitely can distinguish high quality and low quality videos, detect duplicates and observed abnormality of several videos.
- I have my own list of copyrighted anime, which I gathered from the internet and constantly updating.
- ‘gathering for information’ about a certain anime is quite easy for me.
- I am connected to an IT-related job so I am very positive that I can help out on computer and internet related problems and inquiries.
- I love anime and Asian drama so much so I’m basically up-to-date on anything related to it.
- I’ve spent 50% of my CR sessions streaming videos, 30% forum activities and 20% answering/replying to PMs and GB entries. Thus, approving and/or rejecting videos as well as checking duplicate videos will never be a burden.

I can be at my best to be a good, if not perfect, media moderator. I honestly don’t have experience in media moderating but I am a forum moderator to few. Besides, I’m a fast learner and I really want to try media moderating.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?

Anime and drama, most likely.

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?
Not applicable.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?
On a daily basis, I’m basically ON for almost 10 hours a day or more (no specific time cos I goes ON and OFF). I often find ways to be on CR so I’m (on the whole) willing to spend time helping out. Beyond that, my fidelity to the site has been proven for spending almost 8 months with it – isn’t it a sign that I’m so devoted to Crunchyroll? Hence, it confirms my enthusiasm to keep the site alive and going. I might not be the most intelligent member in the community but I am certain that I had conveyed something commendable. My contributions to the site are way too many to mention. Perhaps, reporting spams and mislabeled videos, commenting on videos or even my forum activities (to name few) can be considered to be my deepest contributions. I even address some members’ inquiries thru PMs and sometimes direct them to the Moderators if the issues are for them to response.

Beyond that, I don’t think I violated any rules in whatever form, unless CR moderators will file something against me.

6) Do you speak any languages other than English? If so, please indicate which.
I can only speak English, aside from Tagalog and Bisaya.

7) Where do you live (timezone-wise)? Do you live outside the US?
Philippines, that’s GMT + 8 hours.

1) Which position?

Media Moderator

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)

As an uploader, I have experienced good quality as well as bad quality, and I have had experience with administering web sites in the gaming community (BF2, CS:S). Can Crunchyroll’s encoder accept MV videos now (like .mp4 and .mvpd)? I put videos in mvpd format to save a lot of memory (my computer has only 100 gigs) and keep the integrity of an mpg (unlike .wmv videos). Like Suicider, I have learned to get up-to-date information regarding video and new series release, and when a series gets licensed.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?

Anime

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?

Not applicable

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?

I spend about 3-5 hours on CR, and able to dedicate about 6-7 hours.
I am online from 6 in the morning till noon (classes from 12-4 PM) afterwards from 6 PM until 2 AM.

6) Do you speak any languages other than English? If so, please indicate which.

English, Spanish, Polish and some Japanese

7) Where do you live (timezone-wise)? Do you live outside the US?

Central Standard Time, USA (CST)

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this, and thank you for this oppurtunity.

1) Which position(s) do you want?
I am mainly interested in the concept of being the Moderator, but personally I don't really mind if I was the Forum Mod or Media Mod. (edit: I am currently leaning to Media Mod because I feel like I could really do that job)

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)

Either one would do it for me. I like making things organzied (OCPD playing in), so that would come in handy when I'm editing the video summaries, etc. And I commonly see videos that have been repeated, and then they are even title wrong. Which gets me to kind of wondering if they just did it for CR points.

I am not new to forums, I used to attend the GameFaqs (Maplestory) forum for a long time for around 255 karma. Currently, I attend the Kaizoku-Fansub forums, and I am a common poster there, it's a friendly community. So I hope that I could work to make this one even better.

I took a technology class, so I know the basic knowledge about html.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?

I am familiar most with the Drama, but in technicallity I have been watching anime much longer before I met the crunchyroll site (I came here for some dramas). I've been downloading anime, watching then of course. And well, I am usually up-to-date with an anime (sometimes) getting licensed.

With the game video, I'm fine there also. Becuase I too, am a gamer! So ususally if they repeat a video, I notice it's already been posted if I saw it before, or if it's named wrong.

Music Videos, I listen to a lot of music. Lately it has been J-rock/pop. And then I know other songs too. I'm really find with any type of music, so I can help in that department if there ever is any trouble.

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?

My moderation style, would typically be a moderate mod. Why? You're going to have to be both hostile, and still joke around being a ForumMod. If I'm going hostile, I would point out their flaws in their "statement" or anything that might be contradicting them. Also, letting them see the other side of the view. Even though I might have my own opinion that sides with theirs, I would still tell them about the other view point.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?

Ususally, I am on CR for the day I am at home and my computer is on. So usually around 5 Hours+. My browser has tabs, so I just keep the websites that I like to visit, and just look over them everyonce a while (refreshing to see if anything new comes up).
I will be able to dedicate most of my time to CR, except when it comes to my personal reasons (school, sleep, and etc).

6) Do you speak any languages other than English? If so, please indicate which.
I can speak 3 languages up to a point (including Engrish). I know Chinese, I can understand it all for the most part am I am studying it right now. I studied Spanish for two years, it's a little rusty right now though.
My friend and I have been thinking about learning Japanese, so I might know that in the future.

7) Where do you live (timezone-wise)? Do you live outside the US?

I live in PST (PDT) Pacific Time Zone. Living in the United States currently.

~ I will work hard if I am luckily selected =] Thanks for you time.

I'll apply I guess.
1) Which position(s) do you want?
Forum Moderator.

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)
Even though I'm a bit rough around the edges, I consider myself a very fair individual. I've also held Forum Moderation position before, even a chief position. I know I'm rough, but even if I disagree with what someone has said, I'll fight for their right to say it.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)
The Anime videos. I guess you could ay I've sent a large amount of time studying these.

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?
Moderation Style? It's being fair, it's studying a case subject, evaluating how it fits into the rules and morality of the forum and than passing judgement. But that doesn't mean it should end there. Passing a judgement is just remedying the symptoms of a problem. A Moderator's job is also making sure others understand the rules as well. You have to be a "people's Moderator."
Dealing with hostile members is part letting them know their place, as well as letting them understand that you are a person who both respects them, and deserves respect. In all it's just being the voice of reason for everyone.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?
Several hours each day, and I believe I'd be able to continue that, and as many hours as the community needs me to put in.

6) Do you speak any languages other than English? If so, please indicate which.
To my regret I do not.

7) Where do you live (timezone-wise)? Do you live outside the US?
I live in the USA, Washington state.
For Timezone, this is the PST/PDT. GMT it is -8 hours.

I KNOW I can do this.

1) Which position(s) do you want?
- Media moderator
2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)
- Honestly, I am mainly new to this position, but I have been searching for a long time for a site to which I can truly dedicate myself to, and so far, this has been the site that I have been looking for. For now, I am largely a very very free man with a very versatile daily schedule. I will not find it any problem to fulfill my duties close to daily. That time also allows me to learn any skills necessary to fulfill my duties quickly. I also learn fast and work fast. After, my university term starts in September, I admit that my schedule will be much tighter, but then again, anime and dramas have been a passion of mine for a long time and will be so for a long time to come. My dedication will not change even then. I think that being a moderator will help me cool down from the stresses of daily life.
Also, I have extensive knowledge(anime and drama air times, new title releases, etc.) as well as interest in the realm of anime and lately, some in Japanese dramas. Besides that, I am also a person that is able to write with a reasonable amount of flair, conviction and if needed, directness.(Largely thanks to education in Singapore) Summaries and any other form of written media should not be a problem.
Apart from that, I do have a inclination towards writing long recommendations for anime series and dramas as I truly believe that sharing our emotions born from outstanding dramas and media should be shared as much as possible with others.

3) What type of cr videos are you most familiar with (anime, drama, etc)?
Mainly animes, as I have been following them through the last few years. (Boarding school practically throws off the shackles of download speeds- you can share via HD Drives) However, lately, I have been getting myself quite deep into the world of Japanese dramas. Ever since I got myself into this site, drama releases has been rather irresistible. Every season(3 month cycle for Japan), I usually end up following close to half of the releases through CR or d-addicts.

5) How much time do you spend on CR? How much time will you be able to dedicate to CR?

Like I mentioned earlier, since I have plenty of time on my hands with only Japanese classes on my daily schedule, I can do whatever I have to do close to daily. Perhaps 5 days a week, I would visit the site. I should imagine that being a moderator is relaxing in its own ways. Time will not be a problem. After September, 5 days a week will still not be a problem, since England's internet connection is fast. Workload might decrease a bit though.

6) Do you speak any languages other than English? If so, please indicate which.

I speak English, Cantonese, Japanese, some Mandarin and Malay(from school). I am most proficient in English. As for Japanese, I am already at an advanced level of learning. Just another 3 or 4 months and I think I can qualify for entrance into Japanese universities. Cantonese is my mother tongue (mandarin comes naturally after that) and Malay was a requirement in schools in Malaysia( though that was years ago).

7) Where do you live (timezone-wise)? Do you live outside the US?
Time zone is +8hrs from GMT. I live in Malaysia for now. 3 months later, I will be in England(GMT).

2) What makes you suitable for this position? Put your experiences and skills here (if any)..i have my own forum and read them regularly...so i know how they are handled and which are delted and kept...(i like the way mauz15 and redgarnett handle things that would be similar to how i would do things)

i watch anime and dramas..mainly though i see dramas....i am watchin anime more regularly as time passes..

4) ForumMod only: what is your moderation style? How will you handle hostile cr users, etc?..it totally depends on the situation..i dont put up with much crap..especially bullying..and inapropriate comments advances etc..if u want to talk about those things pm or im...a hostile user (cussing threatening etc..) will be seriously warned then banned no three strikes..i mean if u say ass i wont ban u like i said depending on the severity..but threating falls under bullying and will not be tolerated..if someone is bullying i will make them aware that they are going overboard and that it is the last warning then they will be banned from cr..most of the forum issues are those two things..and of course the forums that are copys..then i will look over them..then after judging it fairly..will deicide if it needs to stay or go..

6) Do you speak any languages other than English? If so, please indicate which.
