Japanese manga.
Korean manhwa.
American comics.
International manga (comics made anywhere outside Japan strongly influenced by or imitating manga).
A subset of which is OEL manga (Original English-Language manga).

Because someone was going to say it eventually.

Mostly just wanted to point out the difference between manga and manhwa, the rest snowballed.

I can't really vote though, since I read all of the above. The story is more important to me than the country of origin. I mostly read manga, but there are some great manhwa out there as well (The Breaker gets a lot of attention).

Then there's KissWood, Girls of the Wilds, Orange Marmalade, etc.

I've read American manga before. There is not a lot though. The last one I read is called Amazing Agent Luna . It sounds corny, but once you actually read it, it's not what you expect it to be. Have you read any american manga?

As for Korean manga, I like the stories and a lot of their manga are actually colored, but I don't like how they use LITTLE space for their panels. A japanese manga page will have like 6 panels in it and Korean manga will have 3 panels with large white spaces in between.
