Are you talking about the Attack on Titan thread that's titled Attack on Titan Discussion (Spoilers)?

I think that there would be fewer children and trolls posting if Crunchyroll limited the amount of forum posts and video comments that non members can make. That's pretty much the only thing I could see that could feasibly help the situation with spoiler trolling.

Can't expect a group of people on the internet to collectively grow up. And you can't expect every single post and comment to be scrutinized by a moderator.

That '(spoiler)' bit has only just been added. And yes, I have commented within the AoT thread itself (seems to be the main cause of contention) that the manga readers are causing us a bit of a problem. I think episode 5 was particularly awkward because it came out on CR late, by which time a lot of people had already watched it elsewhere, so there were multiple discussions and it all got a bit complicated. Most of us post episode spoilers within the tags, so it's confusing to know if a tag is for manga content or the latest episode. I realise a number of us have discussed this elsewhere...by and large the manga readers are courteous and make it quite clear if they're posting manga spoilers and what they relate to: the problem comes with people quoting the original spoiler and commenting on it which can also give things away!

The problem is that there are readers of the manga not putting spoiler alerts and just blurting stuff out. The discussion beneath the episodes are not for people talking about the manga, it's about the show and the show only. There are plenty of other places readers of the manga can go to discuss the manga/show if they want to.

i believe space tauren made a bit about spoilers under the episodes is a no no?

and how spoilers in the forums isn't rule breaking just impolite

and many people have made the counter argument that if you're told that the stove is hot and you still touch it, is it your fault or the guy who told you the stove is hot...

logic peoples logic

the people that write spoilers in the attack on titan comments need to at least start marking these comments with spoiler warnings

What we really need to two threads.
A spoiler free one where people discuss the anime so far, reactions to the latest episode and talk about what they think/hope will happen. It's really hard to have that last one when people that do know come along and start giving you hints. Sometimes minor spoilers can be quite damaging to. Plus a second thread where people who have read the manga can more freely discuss how they think the adaption is going and what they are exited to see.

With the current set up, even if the idea happens and everything is properly spoiler tagged you still have these two different lines of discussion happening and I think they really do distract from one another.

Edit: Yes things do get a bit more complicated when an episode is late and some people have seen it while others are waiting it out.

No. I'm tired of certain manga sites carrying the manga of an anime show and then deliberately dropping the series once it gets popular. No doubt a letter or email from a law firm incites that decision to drop.

You mean, once it gets officially licensed? It's the right thing to do, dropping it once that happens.

To answer the OP's question: no, it doesn't bother me because as long as I'm watching or reading what I want I don't care if they spoil the whole plot. Reading about Guy A getting his ass kicked by Guy B is one thing and you may be disappointed that the outcome got revealed to you, but watching it unfold for yourself is another thing entirely.

An example (one that I use a lot):

Yeah same thing happened to me, and usually if i read a comment under the spoiler tag, i expect to read something about episode, not whats going to happen in the next two.

This isn't limited to just Attack On Titan. Some jerk posted the ending to Fate/Zero four episodes before the finale without spoilertizing it #$@&%*!!! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

The spoiler button exists in the first place because it's allowed to leave spoilers and the person clicking it open is the only one at fault.
That button is not for you to open. The spoilers left are for other manga readers wanting to discuss information that goes beyond the current episode. Why would anyone open a button that literally says it contains spoilers? Your own fault.
Now, for the a-holes that leave spoilers without using the button should get banned and their comment automatically removed. I have zero tolerance towards maliciously spoiling. I suffered quite a few of those with One Piece.. ruining the entire series, man, not funny.

Well I apologize for pointing that out, but the only immature person here is the one who needs to resort to insults to convey their message.
