i believe space tauren made a bit about spoilers under the episodes is a no no?

and how spoilers in the forums isn't rule breaking just impolite

and many people have made the counter argument that if you're told that the stove is hot and you still touch it, is it your fault or the guy who told you the stove is hot...

logic peoples logic

Logic cost too much to use, look at any office job

On topic, yeah in a perfect world people would know how to use spoiler tags, the funny thing is, it's not limited to CR or anime sites, hell even facebook pages with nothing to do with anime just throws them out there.

I personally think there should be 2 types of SPOILER alerts.

The first should be something like like on Attack On Titan episode 4/5 '' Sasha ripped a giant fart''. So just very minor things about the episode or such.

The second alert should be super spoiler that ruin the whole show for you. Not going to do any examples here though.

i dunno about you, but the fart was the best part of that episode. if i read a spoiler about it, that woulda been something i woulda been pissed about.

yea i hate the people who outright says the spoilers for the next episode in the comments.

its like going to a movie with a friend who read the book, you'd rather be dead. im dead sick of it. i haven't felt suspence from a movie in the last 7 years other than from horror movies. which is why i choose anime where none of my friends read the manga other than naruto.

Well I apologize for pointing that out, but the only immature person here is the one who needs to resort to insults to convey their message.

Why are you a) apologising?
B) Taking shot at me for describing the behaviour that we are all complaining about with an epithet?

Did I miss something? Did something I wrote come accross as confrontational? If so that wasn't my intent.

A) I thought you found that information unsatisfactory.
B) I misinterpreted your comment as calling me an "immature d***head"

Sorry about that. A lot of people use subvert insults like that to take potshots, I didn't realize it was just your description of the immature users on those shows XD

Being an old school gamer who does his research, spoilers come with the hazard of researching and because of it, I'm immune to spoilers. And just because I have this mindset doesn't mean I have to ruin other people's fun.

Likewise, if I have seen the show and I want to share my insights, thoughts, pics and whatnot, I put a spoiler tag on it.

Just remember that spoiler tags are THERE for a reason, it is your fault if you opened it out of curiosity.

Sorry no, my comment was not directed at you. And you are forgiven. Mistakes happen especially when we cannot read body language/facial expressions or hear tone and cadence of voice. Which is why I asked in instead of escalati.g.

Because it speaks to the sheer volume of things that have been scanlated. Everybody does their own thing, but I, personally, prefer to read (and pay for) a legitimate release whenever possible. If one is not available, hey, there are many others that are.

I find it more common on the video comments than here. For the most part the CR posters remind people about spoilers so its not that bad.And I trust the regular posters who just give a hint but dont give it away.My problem is how do you comment even on a anime for those that have to wait a week without using a spoiler anyway.

well, most of the time I whet peoples appetite by showing screen shots of new openings and ending themes.

if such opportunities arise, like below

new end sequence of ep 5 of snafu, it doesn't show much, but it looks nice

The easiest way to fix this problem so that everyone is satisfied is for CR to code separate spoiler blocks.

^^This one that we all know about, nice and red/pink, can be for episodic spoilers and other light stuffs.

They could do a dark/light green for manga spoilers with the code distinction of <spoilers>Rosebud</spoilers> instead of the [brackets] that we use for our red spoil.

Could even add a [library]to clean up quote towers without using the spoiler tag when there's nothing to spoil[/library] and we could make that dark/light blue.

There should be a disclaimer like

" If you have NOT watched the latest episode , dont go there or here
" , plus all the spoiler tags.

Sometimes I dont care if I knew or not becuase I am already guessing what happens next without reading the manga...

Fair enough. I wouldn't even be here if it weren't for scanlations and fansubs, but I try and buy the ones I think are good when I have the money for it. I'm only at 53 volumes + anime, but so far the only purchases I regret are ones I didn't read or watch beforehand - both of those were complete misses and just gather dust on my shelves.

*grumble*

Edit:

I should give them to the library here to go with the Texhnolyze and Serial Experiments Lain sets I donated awhile ago.
