I JUST got a Pm from random person saying

"hey i like you"

WTF?

This is the second PM i got that's certified creepy. The first was a while back... conversation srsly went like this...

"hey"

"Hi"

"lets be friends."

"sure"

"...Can i see your irl pic"

*facepalm*

Like i don't even get creepy pms on youtube..

Now I am a little curious what has them sending messages like that lol.

I personally like seeing everyones IRL profile pictures but I don't trust the internet to post my own. So I don't blame people for not showing theirs.

I do have to say the second one might have been meant in a more innocent manner. Some people just have a hard time saying things the way they want to. The first one was probably a mean joke...or maybe someone you know but they couldn't say it in person.

I personally would have just shrugged it off and ignored it.

._. Not a pm, but one guy wrote in my Guestbook acting like he was coming on to me. He asked if I had big breasts, then said "Oh come on, don't be like that" when I told him to leave me alone.

I hate douchebags like that. =/

A majority of guys in this generation suck. -_-''

Most of us are not like that. You just think it is the majority because those are the ones that stand out.

Well I think he is talking about guys around my age. I'm not like that I barely use the messaging/guestbook system.

I'll let you think whatever you want to. Likewise, I'll think whatever I want:

If you're mad because you assumed that when I said "a majority" I had actually meant to have wanted to say "all," and thus assumed I was pointing fingers at all men in our generation, including a "certain someone", then it feels like that "certain someone" may feel pretty insecure about themself.

Or, hey! Perhaps you're right. Perhaps you feel like I feel like it's "a majority" because those are the kinds of people who stand out. In my original argument, when I said "A majority of guys in this generation suck," had you ever thought that mayyyybe I was staying relevant to the topic? Do people who don't want to stand out send creepy PMs to people? Do people who don't want to stand out bring any kind of anyone elses' attention to themselves? No, they don't. Not any negative attention, at least, like what I'm doing right now. Do those people really count in this argument? No, not really!

So, wait, have I just contradicted myself? Yes, I have. Because I'm not someone who wants to bring up anyone elses' attention. I'm normally quiet. I try to mind my own business. I don't like to come off as an annoying person. But yet here I am, arguing, which is usually a source of negative attention. Does that make me a douchebag? It can, but right now, it doesn't. Not necessarily. There's a thin line between "being a douchebag" and "being a guy who stands up for himself." It's the same kind of line that separates "being funny" from "being a prick," or "being smart" from "being foolish." What I'm really trying to do here is to send a message to someone who has had a rough time with random messages in the past. There's a negative side to what I said, and there's a positive side to what I said. The negative side of what I said was simply, "A majority of guys in this generation suck." And that's exactly what you looked at right away. And so you had to jump in, to tell a stranger, on the internet, that you don't know, that he was wrong, and that he doesn't have his facts straight. You potentially humiliate a stranger, who already has no reputation for anything whatsoever, on an internet message board just to make yourself look like the more righteous person. So did you just, so-to-say, throw this stranger "under the bus?" Sort of. Instead of doing that, though, you could have just...you know, looked at the positive side of that sentence. All that you had to do to find that was reverse the adjectives within the sentence in question:

"A minority of guys in this generation are wonderful." I personally feel like this makes those choice men feel a bit more special. Rare. Treasurable. Deserving. And yet, here you are, arguing that I'm wrong. That a majority of guys are wonderful. Bringing attention to yourself. It's pointless attention that, had you decided against posting in the first place, would never have existed in the first place. Oh, right, and it's negative attention. By saying what you had said, you wanted to tell the world that you, yourself, are not a douchebag. That you aren't a bad guy. But yet, you try to attack my opinion...with your opinion. Okaaaay. By saying what you had said, you were STANDING OUT. There's a word for people like that. If you'd like to know it, highlight the big empty space beneath this paragraph. If not, don't.

YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE.
And so am I.

Have a good night.

Out of curiousity I had to highlight the "blank space". That was clever but I am not a hypocrite. I am a nice guy imo

"The terms "Nice Guy™" and "nice guy syndrome" can be used to describe men who view themselves as prototypical "nice guys," but whose "nice deeds" are deemed motivated by manipulating women into a relationship and/or sex."
(from wikipedia, yeah I know but it's the most concise description I could find.)

Probably *not* the image you were aiming for in the middle of trying to dispute the notion that guys are mostly or all jerks, though :p
