I'm trying to decide which series to watch first. I'm thinking Kuroko since the second season is coming in fall but thought I should ask you guys first.

I'm going to watch this after I catch up to One Piece which I'm really close to doing.

This isn't Soviet Russia bro, you can watch both. Slam Dunk is really good but I prefer Kuroko. Personally, I would watch Slam Dunk first since it's older (and it'll make you appreciate Kuroko's nice and modern animation when you start it). You just have 101+25 episodes to watch before october, you can do it.

Thanks for the advice man I might just do that. I'm pretty into basketball and played it in high school so I'm pretty exited for how they handled the game.

Slam Dunk. I honestly think the main characters are better developed than the ones in KnB, and I prefer the match quality in Slam Dunk more. I watched Slam Dunk when I was around 8 years old. I've re-watched it more than once, but the fact that I watched it a long time ago, might be one of the reasons why I prefer it. Both of them are still great series.

Oh man this is sort of one of those anime recommendation things again, sadly those all go in this handy dandy sticky thread we masterfully created just for this purpose!

Here it is: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-7173/recommend-me-an-anime-read-first-post

So I am going to be locking and closing this one, but feel free to ask for advice on which to watch there.

On the sly I will tell you thought that Slam Dunk was really popular for a reason, I would go with it first.

Kuroko no Basuke.
Because it doesn't have Sakuragi.

Kuroko wins.
