will crunchyroll be able to get it in stock? i really loved the series and i wish i could buy it somewhere at a good price.
amazon has it at a high price.
I really wish i bought the complete collecting a couple months ago on amazon when it was still only $50 bucks(but the price has risen and i want to buy it new.
would be nice if crunchyroll had a deal on it but i'm sure that happened long ago
looks like aniplex put out a couple box sets, one of them going for around $140 and the other going for $540(on righstuf)
maybe i should save for the cheaper box set? i just wanna get the complete series(anime legends) maybe someone could help me find it at a good price from a legit website
Who else liked this series or maybe didn't like it and why?
I'm not to great at making forum posts and i don't think anyone made one on this but who knows o.o

Both of the ones you refer to are limited editions...Which I assume means they should be releasing non-limited editions soon...

...Hopefully.

CR usually gets their DVD deals from rightstuf.com, so check them out. Right now they only have the $100+ version.

The anime legends set is out of print now that Bandai is gone (so no CR most likely won't be getting anymore in stock), if you want it cheep then get it soon before it's gone (around $70 on amazon). You could also try ebay, I did a quick search and it looks like some people have it on there for around $50. You could also wait for when aniplex to do a regular edition release (probably be a couple of years away). The $150 set is a L.E. DVD set that has some nice extras, and the $540 is a Japanese L.E. Blu-ray import set that also has some nice extras (I wish I had the money for it right now I would so buy it). I'm sure in a few years aniplex will do a NA regular edition release of the show on Blu-ray so could also wait for that set.

It's a great show one of my favorites. I got the L.E. sets that Bandai released years ago and re-watch it a few times a year.

Thankfully for me, when I realized that Bandai was giving Bandai Entertainment of America the shaft, I made sure to buy a copy of their original Anime Legends collection. I feel bad about it now since I know everyone else basically got totally screwed (the same way I did with the Lucky Star DVDs and volume 11 of Eureka 7), but unfortunately I don't think Aniplex of America is giving anyone a "standard edition" or "non-limited edition" Gurren Lagann DVD set. If you look at some of their other series, they don't really have a very good track record with that stuff. MAYBE you'll be able to get the DVDs individually from them, but it'll still probably cost about the same.

I'll make sure to post any information I happen upon for the rest of you, but the outlook is seeming pretty grim from my perspective. (*sigh* if only this was a multi-dimensional labyrinth; then Kamina could come break us out with awesome music playing in the background) Either way, if anyone gets any information about Lucky Star or Eureka 7 volume 11, I'd really appreciate if you could get that to me.
