Plenty of anime to watch where the Japanese TV broadcast is not censored (which is, note, in an effort to boost disc sales and is not about Japan's generous broadcast standards for post-midnight broadcasts).

And for those who just can't wait for a US release, they can replicate the Japanese experience of those without an AT_X subscription of watching the broadcast TV version then downloading(*) the bootlegs to see the censored bits. That way the production committee still gets credits with royalties for the Crunchyroll simulcast.

(* But downloading the bootlegs, not leech streaming ~ do not support leech streaming sites!)

That's weird. I recently watched Another on here, and there was actually a lot of gore, stabbing, whatever. I wonder what they censored. Can someone tell me a couple parts they censored please? I know they censor shows, but I guess if I don't even know it's there I don't mind.

I do mind however, when it's painfully obvious like in Blood-C where there's this giant sharp bright light on everything. Kind of annoying. I'm kind of glad that show has a censored version though. It made me absolutely sick at some parts.

Thanks, I'll have to re-watch those two. It makes sense that those would be the two episodes something would get censored in.

For folks who always complain about broadcast & streaming censorship to nth degree:

You're not paying enough to see uncensored T&A.

It is? That's almost a shame, because I actually do quite like the ink blotches.

Fear not, ink lovers! There is still a large amount of ink... just not necessarily in two or three places where it normally would have been in the TV broadcast...

you could say that there is not enough ink blotches

quite creative censorship if I might add

~~~
censorship type:
steam
light beam
dark blur
long hair
ink blotches
random bear faces
random police tapes
character chibi faces
flowers
etc...
I'd like to add that sometimes censorship adds more to the anime. I'd like to do a comparison with sekirei of mushubi, naked versus censored... but yeah the site doesn't like that.
Not simulcast, at any rate.
Catalog titles are a different kettle of fish, since nowadays US home video distributors assume that bootlegs are floating around, and catalog stream is primarily to bring attention to the home video release, so they understand that going to the trouble of getting censored materials from Japan would be counterproductive. But they have the uncensored cut in the first place because the home video release pays dollars per disc, not pennies per view.
Anyone seen Dead Man Wonderland on Hulu? You literally can't see the damn screen, it's hardcore censored. And then there's Highschool DXD, which is actually pretty damn comical, they have flying bat wings covering their nipples LOL. Annyoing, but hilarious.
So they went the Air Gear route? I always thought those crows were funny.
Oh really? Never seen that one, it is on netflix though and that's always uncensored. Some shows like DXD should be on a separate station so it's uncensored, like game of thrones or something. I watched the first season of DXD on an illegal site because of that, but how is it that it's uncensored there, but other shows like To Love Ru Darkness is censored??
Most of the crows will still be there even in the DVD version (which is what Netflix would stream) because of what they are sometimes censoring.
FYI, although it has been there in the past, Netflix isn't currently streaming Air Gear.
High School DxD would be uncensored on a fansub site because someone used a raw that was ripped from AT-X, a premium channel in Japan (costs around the equivalent of $23-$24 per month the last time I checked the exchange rate, probably a bit less now).
To Love Ru Darkness was apparently censored even on AT-X, which means even the people that normally resort to fansubs to get for free what Japanese have to pay for were thwarted. I expect there are uncensored versions floating around now, but only for those ripped from the later BD releases. (Volume 6 isn't scheduled to be released until May 29, which means it should be impossible to find uncensored versions of episodes 11 & 12).
Ah I see. haven't checked Netflix in awhile for anime. So are you guys able to get streaming rights from this AT-X? Also how does your uncensored steaming work,? I understand the ones that are simulcast have to be, but what about the anime that you have that are on blu-ray also, do you re-upload the series in it's uncensored version? I know Samurai Girls is uncut and that you guys just added the first season. Another example is Majikoi Oh Samurai girls, that's on blu-ray, but it's censored here.
