That's weird. I recently watched Another on here, and there was actually a lot of gore, stabbing, whatever. I wonder what they censored. Can someone tell me a couple parts they censored please? I know they censor shows, but I guess if I don't even know it's there I don't mind.

I do mind however, when it's painfully obvious like in Blood-C where there's this giant sharp bright light on everything. Kind of annoying. I'm kind of glad that show has a censored version though. It made me absolutely sick at some parts.

S. O. B. I thought i was going crazy, noticed there was something missing... Like that feeling you just got dupped and it took you too long to figure it out.
Whats the point of watching it if you dont see it for how it was meant to be... oh right It happens in american news broadcast all the time thats why they get away with it here in CR.

AAAAAHHHHHHH I HATE IT !!! theres shows for kids and shows for adults .... The kid show yeah censor it since it that target audience but the adult shows should stay intact with a warning and confirmation click.... then there wouldnt need to be censored since you have to confirm !

Ah I see. haven't checked Netflix in awhile for anime. So are you guys able to get streaming rights from this AT-X? Also how does your uncensored steaming work,? I understand the ones that are simulcast have to be, but what about the anime that you have that are on blu-ray also, do you re-upload the series in it's uncensored version? I know Samurai Girls is uncut and that you guys just added the first season. Another example is Majikoi Oh Samurai girls, that's on blu-ray, but it's censored here.

Just to make it clear, I don't work for CR.

Anything that was originally acquired as a simulcast will be the broadcast (not premium channel) TV version, and thus censored where the publisher feels the need or desire to do so. (Honestly, most censoring is required and is done soley to make the BD/DVD more desirable).

Even if a series is released later in the U.S. on disc, CR doesn't get that version, since it wasn't covered by the original contract.

It even works that way for other sites. For example TAN (The Anime Network) simulcast the original Samurai Girls series, and even if you are a subscriber there, viewing the subtitled version, you get censoring, while viewing the dub you get no censoring.

One of the few cases I know of where a company went back and replaced the streaming subtitled version of a show with an uncensored version is Freezing, over at Funimation. Even then, only subscribers get the uncensored subtitled version. I don't know if even they have done that with any other show. Frankly, it is curious why this isn't standard policy for shows the license for home video, as they certainly don't have the rights issues CR (and possibly even TAN, since it is legally separate from Sentai) would.

As you could likely deduce from how much AT-X costs in Japan, getting uncensored versions of most shows couldn't be done on CR's current subscription rates. The real question is would enough people be willing to pay 2-3 times as much for just a few shows each season begin uncensored to make it viable? I suspect not.

Oh, BTW, if you watch the dubbed version of Majikoi Oh Samurai Girls over at TAN, that will be uncensored, since naturally it will be the home video version.

Thanks for the info. I agree it wouldn't be ideal to pay more for uncensored. The only shows that bother me with it would be Freezing( I waited to watch this on blu-ray), Dead man Wonderland and Highschool DxD. I think it's terrible when violence is censored though, but not very many of those. It would be nice to have the ones that really get in the way to be uncensored, like DxD, way to much censoring, blinding lights etc. But I believe Funi owns all the rights to that one.

Indeed they do, and fortunately they also licensed it for home video which means an uncensored release on disc will be coming (along with at least an uncensored dub for Elite subscribers online).

I don't recall if the home video release has been scheduled yet, but having it come out while they are simulcasting the second season would be good timing.
