Bathrooms are like bank accounts. There are ours and hers. Heaven forbid you use the wrong one.

stop digging your self a hole

I think you should stop talking like you've never been to school. Please use capital letters, correct spelling and proper punctuation. You're bending my argument, I have stated many many times that male cross-dressers should use unisex, disable or family toilets as they are widely available. Men have no legit reason to use female bathrooms. Period.
Something that seems to be overlooked in this thread, maybe someone else mentioned it but what do you think a typical post-op transwoman goes through before getting her surgery and feminizing treatments? It's typically in excess of a year of transitioning and *living as* female but not biologically female yet. You seem ok with the idea that a post-op woman can and should use a woman's restroom (as opposed to the really transphobic idea that they are still men with mutilated genitals). But what separates a transwoman (whether pre or post-op) from just any man or simply a man who's crossdressing? They expressly identify as female and have declared an intent to *live as* female. What bathroom you use is designated by what gender you identify as. This rule ensures that men go to men's restrooms and women go to women's restrooms. Therefore a transwoman who still has male genitals should be allowed to use the women's restroom and it should be inappropriate for them to use the men's restroom. I can't imagine why that should not be the case.

Hi Lolli,

Could you please try to type better? You probably think it's cute but it makes you seem like an idiot. Plus it's fucking annoying...

Thank you!

You mean like a trans gender? I hate the term "cross dresser." He is a girl, if he thinks/wishes it to be so. Or if you mean guys just like to dress up as girls, but don't consider them to be one, then they use the mens restroom.
But other wise, I wouldn't say anything. We're all in separate stalls anyway. All though it'd be nice if she would use a uni-sex one. But if she feels like she is a girl, then that's okay. Trans gender were born feeling like they're trapped in the opposite sex's body. It's not evil, nor is it disgusting. I know a trans gender girl, and she is a little peeved about having to use the girls bathroom, but she realizes she does not have the same genitalia. I hate seeing her suffer like that.

sometimes they're not cross dressers. they could also be transgenders. and those are the ones who want to be perceived as the opposite sex of their biological sex. in that case, i think their decisions should be respected.

Where should I start... first off you need to be educated on the system transgendered people in the UK have to go through, most of them don't have access to hormones until they are 18 so they undergo full male puberty which means that they get manly features and can't do anything about those manly features unless they spend a fortune on surgery (even then the results are hit and miss), some of them *might* be lucky enough to look really good but unfortunately the majority of them will just look like women with very manly features (lots of brow bossing, large nose, adams apple, facial hair, hairy body, broad shoulders, small upper lip, large jawbone, big hands/feet and a big rib cage)... but you can blame that on the government that says it's ok for transgendered people to hate their own bodies and live with being alienated by people like yourself :(.

Ugh so much unnecessary feels in this thread. Knew I shouldn't have clicked on it ¬_¬

I completely agree with you. there are too many people uneducated about the lgbtq community (at least on this specific forum post) and I regret clicking on it ~_~

I wonder if people realize they are basing all their assumptions solely based on the genitalia that these transgendered individuals. I'm sorry you feel uncomfortable with a person who was assigned male at birth using a female restroom to feel more like themselves. I can tell you it takes a lot of courage for them to walk into those washrooms because of reactions and backlash they will face.

The reality is these individuals are much more susceptible to violence, sexual harassment and discrimination then most people in society are; including most cisgendered females. There are many studies supporting this and it does not take much googling to find them.

So I think the least we could allow them is the dignity to choose which washroom they wish to use without facing harassment.

There are no laws stating that women must use the women's room and men must use the men's room. I've gone to the men's room when the line for the ladies was too long.

I'd say....it would depend on how much female they look. ^^

If a crossdresser looks VERY feminine without a sign (or rarely) that she's male...THEN it's a safe sign because he's being feminine, and usually females are nice. So he would be really nice and polite about it.

If the person doesn't look exactly like a female, well...it's the same BUT, it may also be a sign that it could be a dangerous guy dressing up as a female as a trap......
.....the way I pictured that.....was scary......

Anyways, yeah...I think it would depend on the person and how they look. x3
