Maybe someday my son will get me one of these for Mother's Day. This year I got a badly spelled handmade card and a dozen Kill Bill style six-inch-punches in the arm. <3 So cute. <3

"I think this gift idea is a generation too early. While some of the next generation of mothers might be anime fans, the current generation of parents don't even know what anime is for the most part. "

Well I feel bad that you feel this way. I'm a mom of two of the most wonderfullest teenagers ever! They have thanked me for being their mom.... they buy me... for mothers day, christmas and my birthday the most unconventional gifts to where some ppl would cringe!
But then again... I have a heck of a sense of humor and like to be involved with the things I can be in their lives. So I haz crunchyroll members... at the suggestion of my eldest, They buy me sims2\sims3 games with the stipulation i build fantabulous houses for them, and I have half the bionicles collection proudly on display on my fireplace.
Now plz don't think this is a one way street.... but I also appreciate them fully and have done a tremendous amount of things for them... and I totally appreciate them for who they are... as individuals plus being my kids.

Well, I honestly don't know what it's like to have parents that don't like / watch anime. Both my parents are obsessed, and always have been ... In my house we didn't watch anything other than Toonami and anime on VHS so ..........

I thought this would be nice. I don't think it's good form to neglect the fact that adults, and our parents love the content as much as we do.

If you look at the majority of the posts in this forum I think you'll find that you are the exception, rather than the rule. I'm not saying there aren't older fans out there, I'm just saying that, here in America at least, anime is a relatively new phenomenon. It first started really gaining traction here in America during our childhoods, and at that point the majority of parents/adults had already moved beyond animation and were willing to dismiss anime as just childish cartoons. Once again, I'm not saying there aren't parents out there who love anime, I'm just saying it would be incorrect to say "our" parents love anime as much as we do.

Trust me ~

I know VERY WELL that I am the exception.

I made this post for people who have mother's that enjoy anime and/or drama, plain and simple.

Well, I have a mother who likes anime (because we're Japanese), but the only problems are the subs. We don't need subs because we already know Japanese and the subs get in the way of our watching. I just use Crunchyroll because a lot of good animes are all in one convenient place, so I can watch easier. (And this has just become a weird post).

i wish i was japanese xD
