Advice on meeting and getting to know others on CR?
Posted 5/11/13
Sorry if I sound dumb making this, but here goes.

On CR, I kinda find it hard to get to know people around here, as I don't really post that much on the forums. (and when I do, it's mostly the anime section or forum games.) So, do you have any advice?

Branch out and just read through any thread that looks interesting. When you read posts that stick out that you like start stalking that persons every move. Eventually that should work out. I think.

Not everyone can afford to pay people to pretend to be their friend like you though. Geez. Rich people....

I'm not that rich though. Okay maybe a bit above average for a 17 year old, but certainly not 1% material.

E: Okay lol I'll give some serious advice.

Make random conversations with people in the forum games and if you enjoy any of them, add the person. They'll typically accept. Or just add anyone out of the blue. A lot won't accept, but who cares? Talk with them in guestbook/pm's whatever.

Oh and PM's lmao. Send random PM's full of random shit to people that seem at least half interesting. You'd be surprised by the amount of friends you can make by doing that.

The guest book is KEY. Oh and going crazy in the forum game section. People seem to respond to that. I try to make jokes in the 'General Discussion' all the time but nobody ever quotes me....it's lonely in General Discussion.

Irrelevant!

....This thread is going to die.

I would offer to be your friend. But as everyone on my buddy list has found out, or will find out, I really suck at it and am a horrible conversationalist.

Play the forum games, if people seem interesting shoot them a PM, post on their guest book. Look at their profile. If they have some of the same interests as you add them. Also offering cookies is a good way to get friends, I prefer peanut butter for future reference.
