It even has issues at odd times of the day, like at noon on weekdays. I've got a 120 mbs connection with ethernet and even on 720p it loads super slow.

I don't want to downgrade to 480p. I came to CR precisely because I wanted the high-quality streaming (as opposed to the pixelated mess most other sites have), and I'm paying for Premium because I follow plenty of ongoing shows and want their episodes as soon as they're released. If I'm paying money and I have a great connection, then I shouldn't be getting this much lag.

If this persists, I'll probably cancel my Premium and switch to watching new episodes on those lame pixelated sites instead. This is customer service at its most basic. I can understand issues on their end if this were solely a free service, but it's not. If I'm going to be getting the same "meh" quality regardless of whether I pay for it or not, then why should I?

I figured I'd follow up on this, I finally put together a new computer and the problems are gone, and all the network hardware is the same. The issue is that CR's video player requires a beastly amount of power to play at 1080. A core 2 quad at 2.4 with 8 gigs of ddr2 800, nvidia 650 ti was not up to the task, but a skylake 6600k at 3.5 with 16 gigs of ddr4 3000, nvidia 970 strix will happely play 1080. So you need something in between to play CR at 1080.

It's their coding (or encoding) . You should not of had to build an overkill system just to stream . I also have a system in the living room , old gaming pc . Q9550 o/c to 3.4 , 8gb ddr2 matched gaming memory & a gtx 760 2gb . When CR wants to send a good stream it plays flawlessly . However NVidia's drivers & Win 10 don't always get along . Lost 1 gtx 470 & 1 hdd to constant tdr crashes . Got new cards to replace the old ones at least (for free) . Hell , I get the stuttering & freeze-ups on my main gaming rig . It has an i5 4670k , 980ti SC ACX & 760 for PhysX , 16gb ddr 3 , ssd and it will do it too . Support did admit to me one time they know they need a new browser . But... I should buy something else to watch CR on . So apparently they won't fix it until flash goes away .

I am just trying to load a video at 5mbps Standard Definition. Absolutely ludicrous that I'm paying to pause and play this one episode every 20 seconds. And if I leave to allow it to download for too long it will stop halfway through.
