as long as it's aired i'm happy. think of it this way, before the advent of the internet and sites like this, before the fansubbers, there was only DVD and before that VHS. You'd be lucky to hear if a show was coming out on a bi-monthly schedule of maybe 4 episodes at a time. find a new show to watch in the meantime. there are too many good shows this season. Valvrave, Arata, Majestic Prince, SMTDS2. So much time in between, GET WATCHING!!

Unless Attack on Titans is the only think you watch on Crunchyroll, I think this amount of complaints is unwarranted. Especially when it is out of Crunchyroll's hand. I have 10 animes from the current season in my queue and this is the only one that's been delayed. I think I can live with that. Of course if Attack on Titans continues coming out erratically every week, especially as the storyline intensifies, then I can understand the complaints!

I believe that if someone who pays their hard earned money on this site wants to complain to go ahead and complain. You earned that right. However, complain to those who are at fault with the delay which is the licensor not Crunchyroll.

I believe if you're a paying customer you have every right to complain about any product/service that did not live up to expectations. CR will take your money on time every month right? It's no different. We pay money and for that money we get a service. I am sure CR knows this and I hope they understand why people would be upset. It's not about waiting it's about getting what you paid for. CR get with it please.

I can't understand the complaints at all...it is a television show for crying out loud. Go read a book, take a nap, go outside (oh the horror), go shopping, say Happy Mother's Day to your mom, do laundry, clean the toilet, do homework, eat a burrito, pet your cat, wash your car, take a shower - in other words:

DO SOMETHING ELSE FOR A LITTLE WHILE UNTIL IT COMES OUT!

Griping about it doesn't make it magically appear.
And if Crunchyroll didn't have good customer service, they would have ignored all the comments and not posted anything at all.
You don't see the network television stations apologizing when your show gets moved back a week because of breaking news stories, a president's speech, a rain-delayed game, overtime game, etc. You pay for that subscription too, and you have to suck it up.
Makes me sad to see so many impatient people in this world who worry over something like this instead of actual important issues.

I feel the issue is the people are upset because of them having invested money into their subscriptions and then being let down. Not really bother by this personally, but I could see how it would make people a tad upset.

I am not too bothered either but its a valid reason for someone to complain because they're paying for it.

This is why piracy exists. You can get numerous subs out there for Attack on Titan which are most likely not endorsed by the publisher. However, they get it to the public every time, on time. If you want to compete with pirates, you MUST launch on time, every time.

Technical difficulties are technical difficulties. It's not like Crunchyroll is free to receive a video from any source they wish. They must only get it from one source. The official source. If the official source is delayed, then it's delayed. Crunchyroll can't just fire up uTorrent and find any raw they wish.

Yeah, I understand this. I was merely stating a fact to which you re-stated. I'm not asking CR to go download from any source, I'm just saying that the publishers are harming themselves with mess-ups like these.

Update: The delay was longer than was expected. However, we anticipate having the video up within the next 12 hours barring anything else going wrong. (Around or before approximately 9am PT on Monday.) We thank you for your continued patience.

Apologies again.

I can't believe the amount of QQ in here. The world is not perfect. You are not perfect. Humans are imperfect beings.....so anything made by a human is going to be imperfect! Just because you pay for something doesn't mean it's going to operate at 100% every time. Impatient idiots...

Go read the manga if you can't wait! FFS!

Piracy exists because people don't want to pay money for things they want, for whatever reason they want to justify it with. You are paying for a legitimate service that is not illegal or immoral. It does not exist to "compete with pirates". You aren't going to pirate a torrent of an episode that was delayed for maybe a day or two, with shitty subs and potentially a virus if you are already paying for this service. Piracy is also a crime and while it is a hard crime to fight you are a criminal if you do so.

I don't compare my bank account to a local mafia "trust fund" for example.

Also, pirates can't release anything "on time" as by definition it has to be released legitimately before they can start producing a fansub...

Your bank account and a mafia trust fund aren't copies of each other, so your comparison is invalid. A sub from an unofficial subbing group *is* a copy of video and audio, just slightly different subtitles. What you said is also probably true that very few people are going to go searching unofficial sites when they have a subscription. Most will just wait. My statement was a simple generalization of "These are the types of things that happen when you compete with pirates."

Yes, what you said is true that one form a piracy exists because a group may not want to pay for something. However, there are definitely other groups that "pirate" goods they already have. For example, someone purchases a DVD of a movie, but then it becomes damaged. Or maybe they don't want to watch the previews, so they download the movie from an unofficial source.

Additionally, we like to use the term piracy for ease of use, but it's really copyright infringement. And different countries have different Intellectual Property laws. Some countries do not count IP infringement as a crime, but rather a purely civil case.

A shame this happened and hopefully the process will go much smoother next time. I'm not upset at Crunchyroll, but I do think a better placed warning would have been better. I'm not aware of when Crunchyroll received the news of the delay, but always make it known to the viewers as soon as that information is received.

I am a bit annoyed though at people who are spelling anime wrong. Anime, just like manga, is both singular and plural. This means that they both mean one and many.
