I couldn't find another thread about this topic, but why has crunchyroll been so late on the release of Attack on Titan when their previous thread (http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-799349/watch-attack-on-titan-earlier) said they would have the EARLIEST release. I love crunchyroll and i've actually never really see this happen two times in one week. Is there a certain reason or is it just two mistakes in a row?

If you have another thread I can look through that's fine, or if someone has a explanation that's cool too.

If you look in the AoT discussion thread, you'll see some information there and links to some sources (For example: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-798407/attack-on-titan-discussions-spoilers?pg=57#43150343). I assume it's similar to last week--production company having trouble meeting deadlines, recent search for animators suggest they're understaffed, resulting in delay of materials to online distributors.

Better place for this inquiry is in the Help/Support forum, where there are currently some inquiries, complaints, and probably some answers.

Patience young grass hopper. When you can snatch the flame from my hand, you will be ready to watch the new episode.

A few days ago there was a News article about the staff of Attack on Titan animators apologizing for delivering the episode late to some TV stations. My guess is that Crunchyroll gets the episode from one of those TV stations that got the episode late, and not directly from the animators staff.

Ya, it's pretty ridiculous that this has happened two weeks in a row..... I mean fan subs had it up sometime yesterday!? I don't get how Crunchyroll could be having another delay this weekend....

Let's hope it doesn't happen next week because then a lot of people will be pissed.

Like lot's of others have already pointed out there appears to be staffing issues with the Attack on Titan animation department. Last week multiple channels actually got an incomplete version of the episode and CR itself was delayed as we won't air and incomplete show. It is possible the same thing has happened this week and as a result there is a minor delay as we wait for the full version though I can not confirm or deny that, outside of saying it is "possible".

Not directed at OP but it also bears mentioning....

Fansubs would have had to take what was aired on Japanese TV, and if it was aired incomplete just like last week than that means your fansub is not the full episode so... take that for what you want. That said advertising or encouraging fansub viewing is pretty much against CR rules so please don't do so. Additionally bear in mind, again, fansubbers don't need to follow rules, do not have the real translation only their version of it, don't have to fact check, translate for multiple languages, and do nothing to support the anime industry.

Support the creators, not the leechers please.
