I have both of my ears pierced and wear simple, small diamond studs in a silver setting; understated and, in a suit or tux, can also be elegant. I have no issues with men and their piercings; if they want them, get them, who am I to say otherwise? *I also had my tongue pierced for years, all the while holding a job that required a suit, it's not as "rebel" as it used to be*

I personally feel, though, that riddling your ears with giant holes is odd, I won't hold it against you (male or female). Some of the nicest people I have met have been full of piercings and tattoos, while some of the biggest butt heads haven't a single piercing or tattoo.

Long and short of it ... if you want them, get them, if you don't, then don't.

Stretched earlobes have been around for thousands of years. Indigenous tribes all over the world do it for religious purposes. Now kids do it just for attention/shock value or because they're dumb enough to think that it makes them "different" all the while, having no clue about any of the history behind the practice. Its pretty much just a shallow trend.

I think guys look nice with ear piercings or any kind of piercing

i had my first (and would probably be my last piercing) on my tongue. people didnt see it so they cant judge to see if it looks good or not. but when they do, they get that horrified expression and say that my piercing and my uniform(we medtech students wear all white when on duty in the hospital) does not go well with each other and that i should quit one thing or the other. :(

A tongue piercings cool~ but I just like piercings and such
And I think that's wrong of them to say you don't need to quit that just because they don't think it matches piercings go with any kind of job

Do what you want, it's your body. There are lot of different types of ear piercings you can get. You can also get gauges if you want.

^ Not saying you should have all these in one ear, but it shows different types you can get.

It all depends on what your style is

i have both ears pierced once each, sometimes twice each.
i currently have 5 piercings total

i have seen business men with pierced ears
several of my coworkers have piercings.
i think its far less deviant today than it was 20 years ago
tattoos and piercings are much more main stream today. its far more acceptable to have them

This is one of the many things that I just don't get. Like bottled water for sale as another example.

Eh, do what you want. Sometimes it looks good! As long as the wearing is happy.

The only reason i'd get my ears pierced would be to get them gauged, other than that I personally find other types of earrings cheesy. Like diamond and gold loop earrings.

I don't see a point to it, or any kind of piercing for that matter, but people seem to like it. I especially hate women who wear earrings. It frustrates me so much when I hear stories of parents piercing their kids ear when they're young. Parents right off the bat teach them how having jewelry is a good thing. Why? It's cool? Jewelry is shiny? Who knows. The world works in mysterious ways.
