K-On!, Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star and the like are all moeblob. Because everyone is moe and there's no plot. They are often underwhelming, lol

What I mean is they're often too slow paced for the "no plot" element to be entertaining after a certain point. I did think Minami-ke was pretty good, though, if that technically counts as moeblob
That's interesting because I've seen lots of gushing for K-on and Lucky Star on this forum. By 'no plot' do you mean like slice of life, but with no over-arching story to tie it together? I think partly the problem is that, after all this time, I still can't quite define 'moe'!

I just meant slice-of-life. K-On! Is the closest thing to one with an overarching plot, but I couldn't even get partway through the second season. They're just boring after a while is what I mean. They focus too much on the "life" aspect and not enough on the comedy. To me, Lucky Star did the slice-of-life aspect right. I liked Lucky Star because after a while I just felt comfortable with the characters, so I got this warm feeling whenever I watched it, even if it wasn't very funny. Minami-ke though, is hilarious every episode (in the first season at least).

The reason people hate moeblob is that they think the shows rely too much on the girls' cuteness instead of good writing.

Fairy Tail tried to watch it...it's just two boring and i don't see why it's so good :|
Oreimo watched one episode of it and i didn't like the two main characters and it wasn't funny

(By the way i can't see why people hate bleach and naruto cuz of it's filler)

Puella Magi Madoka Magica. And... really?

I honestly find that surprising.

MAJOR CODE GEASS FIRST SEASON SPOILER IN THE TAGS, DON'T CLICK LIGHTLY.

Code Geass is beyond overraated. While I agree with the fans that it had awesome characters, the story SUCKED.

I'm kind of neutral on that one. I agree it was kind of an absurd move, but it was also incredibly ballsy. It reflected just how dark they were willing to get, even though they then got lost in said darkness and hurt themselves a lot.

What do you mean that Code Geass sucks. Sure it has its stupid moments but what anime doesn't? Also the whole Euphemia thing was to show that misfortune can strike anyone at any time.

Just so we're on the same page:

(Not spoilers, just quotes).

Does that answer your question, or not particularly?

It's going to come down to personal preference in the end, but that's my personal take on it.

I won't bash you at all for having a different outlook on it or anything.

I'm laughing really hard because everyone who says they think School Days is overrated, or trash, went in expected a 2 girl 1 guy highschool romdram ending. The basis of schooldays is a high school psychological drama. The romance is a given to produce the drama. Maybe if School Days was your first anime you've ever watched you would be surprised, but anyone could tell what direction the series was taking around mid-way through.

Some overrated anime's I can't stand revolve around Death Note, SAO, Black Butler, Naruto/Bleach/OnePiece trifecta, Hayate the Combat Butler, BTOOOM!, Amnesia, and Gintama.

I will probably be chastised for saying this but I dislike clannad.

Yes i watched it through then end, both the og series and the after story.
I personally could not cope with these forced emotions they tried to to make me feel, through the whole series there was always a moment where the show basically forced you to feel sorry for nagisa. It was irritating, but im a trooper I watched the whole thing through but i still and probably will never understand why this show is so over rated. I would recommend any one else to watch kimi ni todoke or toradora instead.

Vividred Operation, it seriously made me cringe. And Akane's laugh is probably the worst thing I've ever heard. She sounds mildly psychotic.

Ummm I would say for me Dragonball Z, I'm about to give Bleach a go after cursing it for some time and I will give Naruto a go as well. I don't think they are my time of anime really lol

I could not really get into Shakugan no Shana, it was alright for the first series but then the second series became a terribly executed love triangle with almost no action at all for about 15 episodes.

I would not have minded the love triangle if it was not so unbelievably bad and if I did not find the second girl so unbearably annoying.
By the time it got back to action again I was so sick of the sight of it that I just dropped it.

Take note, this is the single most annoying anime character in existence.

Rinoa++

One Piece animation is too crude for me.

Naruto and Bleach appeal to idealistic and dreamer types...so I like it. =]
