You've finally seen the light.

Air, Clannad, Kanon, Durarara (boring), 5cm per second, Campione!, School Days, My Little Monster, White Album, We Without Wings etc...

5cm per Second has amazing animation and an unforgettable story, as a whole, but the romance was infuriating. It started out really good but it turned pathetic and annoying quickly. I felt really bad for Akari and the other female characters.

I don't understand SAO and the Bakemonogatari series being listed but it seems people have very polorized opinions for both of these series. Love it or detest it.

I think most people miss the point of 5cm per Second, it wasn't meant to be a conventional lovey-dovey happy ending where everyone in the end gets their way, but the director wanted a unique take on reality and a sense of real life relationships.

FiestyTurtle Honestly, it's ridiculous how people are treating this anime. People are treating this anime like it's god tier... It looks nice and it nice to watch for excitement but it could be better. This is just a silly shonen when it could easily be much better as a mature seinen.

Attack on Titan is nothing like a Shonen...this doesn't even need defending.

People are treating it like "god tier" right now because it's probably the most impactful anime this season. You're making your own assumptions by thinking people think it's the greatest anime of all time. In the current season there is no arguing that Attack on Titan is getting the most attention by not just viewers but the media overall. It's not getting that attention for the same reasons Naruto or Bleach does. It's getting that attention because it's provocative in nature compared to everything else we're so used to. It's different, it's tragic, it's exciting, and it's daring to be great, you can't just ignore that kind of intensity and drive in a show.

You can just stick your fingers in your eyes and not watch it all you want, but to say the show is "silly" is just trying to be a hipster at best because the vast majority of people watching the show are drowning you out without even a glance.

All this being said I have an addition to my earlier post that was on topic...

I just don't understand how people like Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood over the 2003 anime (unless they are manga purists, then obviously I get it). Objectively (let's say the manga didn't exist), the first series had so much more heart to it. It was way more emotional, and the themes were done to such a wonderful degree (and the english dub cast did an amazing job, and I hate dubs). I think they decided to go with a different plot near the end because let's face it, the ending of Brotherhood is dumb...while the conclusion to the 2003 series was at least creative and daring.

So many elements of the 2003 were changes that I think made FMA a better story than the manga or brotherhood...

Seriously just watch episode 1 (might need to watch first 2 of the 2003 series) of both series side by side (The priest leto arc). The difference in emotional value between the way each series chooses to tell the story is astonishing. It makes Brotherhood look like a freaking joke. If you don't have the time to do that, just watch the the scene from each series where Ed is in the church with rose and he has an argument with her about religion vs science. Just watch that scene from each series. The difference is huge.

As you can see I'm pretty passionate in my not understanding of how the "majority" seem to like brotherhood more. Even the voice acting standard seemed to take a huge nose-dive in Brotherhood (in regards to the lesser characters). The only good thing in my opinion about brotherhood was Ling.

I do think it's an amazing anime and I fully accepted that it wasn't going to be a fairy tail, dere dere, romance. It's that sense of realism that got to me. It was Takaki's self inflicted misery and his inability, unwillingness, to face the world around him was unsympathetically painful. He also showed a great lack of care for the people around him. Was it love Takaki had? Maybe, but it was mostly lust. 5cm per Second is a great lesson on how not to handle important life events.

When I think about it more it was Takaki that infuriated me, not the anime itself.

Stack that on to the fact that he had a woman who wanted to be with him, and was trying desperately hard to do so. It sort of adds to that "pathetic" feeling his character has looking at him objectively.

Bleach also, but it actually started out great. It just fell.

I will definitely give you that.

Bleach certainly had a good deal of promise its first season as did Death Note. Death Note ended with the death of L as far as i'm concerned.

Spoilerrr.. and hmmmmm, Attack on titan craze kind of annoys me. i think the show is okay.

I tried watching Reborn but it was so slow and pointless. Fairy Tale was the same as Reborn. SAO started out good but later it just turned annoying. Chihayafuru was too boring. Naruto is just annoying

I usually like to keep my negative feelings to myself. But here it goes.

The Nanoha series
Strawberry Panic
Yuru Yuri
Lucky Star
A Certain Scientific Railgun (Magical Index, I'm cool with)
