My Top 5 are Vampire Knight, Merupuri, Dengeki Daisy, Immortal Rain, and dear.

Vampire Knight - Hino Matsuri: My first manga and still my all time favorite. [Ongoing - Licensed]

Merupuri - Hino Matsuri: "All high school freshman Airi Hoshina ever wanted was to someday live in a cozy home with a loving husband, and find joy in the little things in life. But an occurrence of fairytale proportions threatens to disrupt her grand plan."

From the creator of Vampire Knight, this is the story of a normal girl who gets tangled up with a prince from a magical kingdom. Strong, independent, and funny, Airi remains one of my favorite female leads, and Aram is sure to win your heart with his goofy antics. [Complete (4 volumes) - Licensed]

Dengeki Daisy - Motomi Kyousuke: "Teru, who lost her only remaining relative, her older brother, is cheered on by a mail from an enigmatic person, DAISY, who she can contact via the cellphone her brother gave her. One day, through an unexpected incident, Teru ends up working as a servant for the delinquent school janitor, Kurosaki. But this scoundrel, Kurosaki, is really…!?"

The concept isn't particularly original, but the execution of this story is phenomenal and the two main characters and their interactions are fabulous. Teru isn't your typical empty-headed Shoujo girl and Kurosaki actually has a personality! The art is expressive and unique. [Ongoing - Not licensed, but likely to be picked up by Viz in the future]

Immortal Rain - Ozaki Kaori: "Rain Jewlitt, known as the Methuselah, is a spaced-out, immortal 624-year-old man dressed in priest's clothes. He's got eternal youth and a large price on his head...put there by those questing after the secret of his immortality. Machika Balfaltin is a tomboyish, energetic 14-year-old girl who, upon the death of her grandfather, sets out to kill Methuselah, the one bounty her assassin grandfather, Zol the Grim Reaper, couldn't kill. Instead, however, Machika ends up being saved by Rain again and again from other aspiring bounty hunters attacking them both."

This is seriously one of the most sorely under appreciated manga titles out there. If you're looking for a touching romance with a great plot, art, and characters, look no further. Do me a favor, though: Don't make any judgments until you finish the third volume, because that's when the story really hits its stride. The art just gets better with each volume. [Ongoing - Licensed - On hiatus (or something)]

dear - Fujiwara Cocoa: "Meet Chiruha: She lives alone in a small secluded house deep in a mountainous forest, the TV her only connection to the outside world. After years of watching and dreaming of what life must be like in the outside world, she has gathered up her courage to venture out and explore the local village. However, she must be careful not to stand out among the humans, for Chiruha holds a secret... Kisara also holds a secret...and a grudge. He's searching for who--or whatever cursed him, and he may have finally found the answer..."

I ADORE this manga. It's another under appreciated title. I was hesitant to read it at first (the art style is extremely different from Hino Matsuri's, which is my standard I judge everything by), but when I finally gave it a chance, I was instantly hooked. There are multiple main characters and several overlapping stories. You'd think it'd be hard to keep it all straight, but the mangaka has blended it all seamlessly into an immensely enjoyable read. The characters all have different and distinct personalities, and you come to love and care about each one of them. The art matures over the course of the story, but the character designs remain as cute as ever. Even though the group translating the series seems to have met some untimely demise and left us all at a cliffhanger, I'd strongly urge you to give it a try. [Complete (12 volumes) - Not licensed]

Here are my honorable mentions:
Beast Master [Complete (2 volumes) - Licensed]: Beauty and the Beast with a twist
Shinobi Life [Ongoing - Licensed]: Hot ninjas and time travel

My absolute favorite romance manga would have to be:
Full Moon wo Sagashite, because Arina Tanemura's style is so...pretty. and the plot is actually pretty good, in my opinion, and the characters, except Mitsuki, of course, aren't Mary Sues. and again, that's just my opinion.

Another fave of mine would have to be...
Kamichama Karin, both the first few books and Chu. I just LOVE Koge-donbo's drawing style, too! The character's are so ADORABLE! Plus, I just love the way that Koge Donbo can transition from a really tense, serious moment, to a funny, completely hilarious scene! I LOVE IT! Plus, I don't even read the books for Karin, the main character...I read them for Michi and Jin...heh heh...I'm totally a fan girl!

erm..practically all the ones i read are shojo lol so thats a hard one..
maybe..Dengeki daisy because it's light 'n' sweet
or Moe Kare because it's long and extreamly well drawn
or maybe shugo chara cos it's got Ikuto in it lol.

But it's probably 'Your my girlfriend'.Same mangaka as special A,
it's short and sweet with lovely characters and loads of KirieXhatsune
moments!
