Around 80-90% of all of us are having the same problem. It's usually no ones internet or hardware problems. It's mostly their end and they better upgrade soon.

I apologize, but that's a bit exaggerated. I'd have died by now if it were.

We are working on it.

Ok that's better.

In the past, I've had some issues with freezing that were resolved by changing my DNS settings. Basically my videos would just stop for extended periods of time in the middle of a stream and I would have to refresh the page to get it to start again, generally regardless of the resolution I was streaming at.

These current issues of the last few weeks are a pretty new for me, since I've never encountered them before in my time on Crunchyroll. They also correspond to the addition of manga, which may or may not factor in. My above example is exactly what happens when I try to watch a video during the day. Characters can't get a single word in without it lagging like that until I go down to 480 or SD. If I go on in the middle of the night though, I can stream flawlessly at 1080 with absolutely no issues at all.

It solely depends on the time/day of the week. Weekends are pretty bad for me, but I can stream flawlessly early in the morning on weekdays (typical hours for people who are working or are in school) and usually late at night. So far, this whole morning today I've been watching Hunter X Hunter flawlessly at 1080P, but last night was brutal and I just gave up and went to bed.

I use SD only and even that lags and freezes. It seems the more CG the worst it is! And Thursdays are the worst! Last week went to the dark side when nothing would play! And this has been ongoing for a while! You can post read news etc but the video is just a headache!

Try this!

1 Right click player click settings !st Icon Disable Hardware Acceleration

2Then click on the folder Icon and open up the player cache to 1 MB Close the Box

I always did the above two but added these next two steps and it stopped problems for now!

3 Right click the player click on Enable Subtitle Smoothing (Slower)

4 Next on settings Enable Video Smoothing

Episode Skipping

5 On the player click the orange arrow icon it wiil turn white but you'll have to click the next episode!

It's usually between 21.00 - 02.00 the streaming starts to get quite slow here in the UK, sometimes it gets so bad I have to drop to 480p and this is on a 100Mbps connection, it's annoying but I've got used to it.

If there was a alternate to Crunchyroll I might have stopped my subscription but there isn't so I continue paying in hope it will be fixed some day.

Same issue here and I will be canceling before my trial ends. Video always freezes and I watch netflix and amazon prime in HD with no issues.

I've had horrible performance for months now. Sometimes it can last the whole day. No matter what show I watch, the issue is there.

I also don't live in the boonies and have a decent internet connection so the problem is not in my connection nor my Cisco+Linksys routers. But of course they will claim it is. I can't believe I am still paying for Premium, but other legal options are very limited and less convenient and I feel like I'm being used because of my insistence of only using legal options. It is sad that it would take me less time to torrent the episode I am trying to stream than to get past the opening sequence when the video is lagging bad.

The up/downlink is a bit slower than my line actually can send and receive because I have QoS setup.
Also the pingtest shows worse grade because my routers firewall kinda torpedos the whole test. However, I just recently set the firewall on and the problems on CR started way before that and have seen no change in streaming "quality" after setting it up.

For me, it's every Saturday night, when I want to watch Ace of Diamond. Every single time, I get huge buffering issues (takes me over an hour to watch the show sometimes). I never thought I'd say this, but Funimation is currently doing a more consistent job with their subscriber streams than Crunchy is.

Perhaps for you, but especially taking into account Funimation's policy against reporting problems in the forum, it still appears a number of people are reporting issues with their streams.

Personally I don't have any problems there (although I only view them on my Roku, so I can't attest to the current state of their website streams), but I also don't have the problems with CR (via my PC) that others report.

To be honest, before I switched ISPs I had more issues with YouTube than CR. Even now, it is somewhat risky to leave a DRM protected YouTube video (e.g., any of the episodes on the GundamInfo channel) paused for very long.

Smooth playback is really the biggest issue for me. Switching DNS seems to have little impact, clearing the flash player cache every few videos does the trick but it seems a bit tedious and sporadic with when it decides that it can't load effectively.

Hopefully the updates that were being discussed awhile back will fix our issues!

+1 Every video I watch stutters, freezes, or ends abruptly. It took me an hour to get through the latest Chuunibyou Thursday night, and tonight I can't watch any more than 2 minutes of Nagi no Asukara without it abruptly ending. It's been getting increasingly worse the past few weeks - used to be fine.

Absolute T R A S H recently. I've tried everything, but nope. Always the same lag. Can't even get through a single episode without pausing because of obnoxious stuttering. Seriously, this is no way to treat paying customers. There's not even a solid ETA for improvements. That just doesn't fly in this age smh.
