NISA doesn't do dubs for anime, as far as I know. they just release it subbed. they have the DVDs up on their store. might actually purchase it if they have an interesting premium package. I got Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko (or as they "translated" it Ground Control to Psychoelectric Girl...) and the packaging and stuff is pretty nice.

Thats strange, description claims there would be a dub.

ah, I didn't actually read that. it says possibly with an english dub. well, if they dub it as good as they've been doing their games recently (actually, I'd laugh if they left half of the anime in text boxes with no voice to save money.... ), it might actually be worth it. they don't usually do dubs for their anime.

Keep in mind the wishlist entry is user created. The entire process is explained here:
http://www.nisamerica.com/prams/guide.php

Apparently the person creating the entry didn't read that page, as under "Adding Your Own Wish" it states (in bold red all caps, as shown):

***PLEASE DO NOT MAKE GAME PORT / LOCALIZATION REQUESTS ON PRAM'S WISH LIST!***
***THIS INCLUDES GAMES, ANIME, AND MANGA!***
***THESE WISHES WILL BE REMOVED AND PROBLEM USERS SUSPENDED OR BANNED!***
***YOU CAN MAKE GAME REQUESTS ON THE NIS AMERICA FORUM FOR GAME REQUESTS***
***PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANIME OR MANGA REQUESTS.***

Frankly, the fact that the entry was made on March 29th and yet it hasn't been removed despite being a clear violation of their rules makes me wonder how much attention NISA really pays to those wishlists.

If they release a blu ray for a decent price, I may pick it up. Toradora is one of my favorite anime shows. Taiga is such a hot head! You can't help but love her.

Their news page hasn't been updated in a year and a half. The last approved wish was several months before that. They've probably forgotten about it entirely. If/when they get around to looking at it again, they'll probably just delete it.

Plus, the submitter spelled it "ToraDroa."

I recently contacted NISA about this issue. They sent me a nice response back saying that they do in fact take prams wish list seriously. I directly spoke about how Toradora should get an blu ray release just to bring that wish to their attention. There was nothing in the email about any violation so I'm not sure what that means. I also adressed the issue about the misspelled Toradora. And thr sendee said they would notify the staff who manages that.

I believe we still have hope because they have already licensed the anime. What's the big deal to get a blu ray release. It can't be that hard!

Toradora never had a super fancy animation style, so I'm not sure if specifically owning a blu-ray version will really be thaaaat important for me, but hey everything looks better in HD blu-ray! And hell, I would buy it just to watch that amazing ending over and over again! Taiga is so irresistibly adorable! I just want to snuggle her (~´ ▽ ` )~

Believe it or not it can be a licensing issue to prevent the cheaper NA releases from being reverse imported to Japan so they may have to either only do a dub release for Bluray or have hard coded English subs you can't turn off or sometimes they just aren't allowed to do Bluray since the NA Region DVD won't play on most Japanese players while Region A Blurays play in NA and Japan.

If they could have peered into the future, the committee setting up regions would have created a second sub-region that excluded Japan (call it "Region A1"), so that Japan could produce Region A BD's that people in the Americas and southeast Asia could play, and companies outside Japan in those areas could produce region A1 discs that Japanese Blu-ray players couldn't play, easing those reverse import fears.
