So as I've lived my life so far, pretty comfortable as a loner, I've noticed in my friends and on the internet a need for a relationship. Hell, right now on this forum there are threads that are related to this topic, like what someone wants out of a bf/gf. So I must ask for the sake of my curiosity, what makes dating so special thst everyone wants in on it?

Oh and I'm not trying to be edgy or anything like that.

Downside of dating, (as an ex serial dater I can tell you) it's that you have to remember all the details about this new person you're dating, what they like and the awful feeling when you realise this person is just another mismatch (which I usually come to a conclusion after the first date).

The bright and awesome side of dating is that you get to have this amazing partner who will do everything you want to do together, playing online games, watching favourite tv shows, pigging out on junk food, gossiping about the latest news. And someone to cuddle with at the end of the day

you are mistaken if u think u can understand by just talking cose usually people will just say stuff to sound cool and not say what they are cose it may not be appropriate or they may think its not right, etc~ and either way most personalities are all fake~ probably even urs~ the truth is that u will never truly know someone cose ur not inside of them and they probably dont know theirs either~ we always change and always will~ and what u are probably made believe is personality~ its probably wrong~ if u think what taste is personality or something like that u probably on the world made by some person and not the real one ;o
also i dont like cuddles

Dating is just an emotional drain for me unless it's the absolute right person. I avoid it at all costs.

I agree no one would be able to fully understand someone else, especially if it's just after one date. But for me, it's a waste of time to get know somebody whom I already think doesn't share anything in common with me. I like to be real on dates, if a guy is pretending to be cool and all, he's just not for me.

Also, my boyfriend likes cuddling with me and that's all that matters.

I think what one of the most important things that people crave in their relationship is being with the person who makes them happiest and is kind of always there. I know its vague but i think what Ive enjoyed the most in past relationships is that feeling of "well there is someone out there that makes me happier than anyone and she does love me." Granted dating does have different levels and I guess thatd be the highest one but I guess thats the best way to explain it without saying you just gotta feel it yourself x3

I never really bothered with sex. Unless I want to make a child, then there's no point.

As for the dating point, Why would you need someone else to feel better. If you can't love yourself, how can you expect to love someone else. And what point would there be, other than saying that you have a significant other, would there be.

I think it is to become best friends with someone you find attractive and if you're a guy it gets rid of all that pesky money.

Convenience and Reliability. Relationships are more fulfilling and secure sexually and emotionally than one-night stands or paying for a prostitute. The only drawback is that they aren't the best return on investment. You have to weigh personal satisfaction against your wallet. For some people the one night stands or a hooker are just more economical.

Unless of course you're a woman. Then it's a win-win.
