Well, I got one. Maybe you didn't enter enough times. I won a Kubey charm to keep and some Prince of Tennis something to try to sell on ebay.

I was doing a decent job of entering every day for that giveaway. I was trying to get the Saber figure, however, and as I recall they were only giving away 12 of those.

They seem to be actively trying to block tablets and smartphones, maybe they are blocking Linux due to incompetence ... given that Android is Linux based.

I expect when they final introduce support for other devices, it will carry some type of premium; either paid apps or a monthly membership. As with Hulu, they may be actively trying to block any avenue for free viewing except personal computers (like Hulu does) to protect that model.

On a related note, no problems using the Chromcast's "tab casting" feature with Daisuki.

Daisuki get Cowboy Bebop

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2013-08-10/daisuki-to-stream-cowboy-bebop-tv-anime

EDIT: Note to Daisuki, if it's gonna be more than a month before you put up a catalog title, just wait until you can put it up shortly before you do.

Sunrise producer Masayuki Ozaki noted at the Daisuki panel that he hopes that Cowboy Bebop will be available on Daisuki just before Funimation re-releases the series on home video in 2014.

Crunchyroll would NEVER do a catalog title announcement that way. Possibly not available until 2014 on Daisuki? Are you kidding me!!

The Second Campaigns winner notification have been sent

----

RG 1/144 ZETA GUNDAM

My package from the first campaign came on the 15th and was shipped on the 13th according to the packing slip, which seems pretty fast to me. Also, the listed value of the goods was 500 yen, and the shipping cost was 1500 yen; I was amused by that.

I was a winner in this round.

No doubt it helps when you entering for an item that they are giving a large quantity away of (the RG 1/144 Aile Strike Gundam) than one that they were giving only a dozen away of (the Saber figure in the first round).

Daisuki has added at least the first 4 episodes of:

Daybreak Illusion
Servant X Service
Silver Spoon.

I somehow think we could see a ramped up Daisuki simulcast presence this Fall. I believe there are around 12 potential anime they could get but I somehow think they'll probably just get 3 to 4 simulcasts(Kill La Kill looks like a Daisuki first one, we'll see if CR gets that too).

In a comparison between Neon Alley and CR, it is far more similar to CR.

Well, it seems that Daisuki won't be streaming Bakemonogatari 13-15 either. Seems that they aren't intended for legal streaming. It has been over a week since episode 12 was put up and the 'NEW' banner has been removed from it with no episode 13 announcement or un-announced appearance. Looks like legally, buying the boxed set is the only way to get them (which I did a while ago).

@ hpulley, I suppose I'm not surprised. Guess Aniplex really wanted the only way for people to see those last three episodes is from buying the box set.

Anyway, Daisuki is up to episode 13 of One Piece. I wonder if they've expanded from their weird initial regions of North America, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and India. If they were competent, they'd have Latin America in their regions for DBZ and One Piece (not to mention Europe).

I am also curious if Denver's NDK(this weekend) or Anime Weekend Atlanta(last weekend in September) will mark Daisuki's first Fall simulcast announcement. I am thinking that they will have at least two Fall ones(my predictions have them getting 4). They have a possible 12 series that they could chose to simulcast.

It is just that it is really, REALLY ironic because the plot of Kabukimonogatari, which they just finished showing is highly dependent on it and on Kizumonogatari which no one has seen of course but which is still doing gangbuster sales for Kodansha Box so I suppose in addition to Aniplex being happy, Kodansha is also happy about driving people to read the books. An upcoming arc even more so. I wonder how many people are confused, but perhaps no more than usual with Monogatari...

I've already linked to it in the Fall 2013 anime thread and in the Premium Member's Daisuki thread, so I'll share it here.

This is Daisuki's annoucement of Kill La Kill which will start the same day as Crunchyroll does.
https://www.daisuki.net/topics/view/10119

Daisuki has not yet announced the regions nor languages that this simulcast will have. I suspect that it will be very similar to Crunchyroll.

Just to remind there are Crunchyroll's details on their Kill La Kill simulcast

Time: Every Thursday starting October 3rd at 11:30 a.m PDT or 2:30 p.m EDT
Regions: North America, South America, South Africa

Update: Daisuki has released region details. Looks like most of the EU will get it through Daisuki.

https://www.daisuki.net/topics/view/10122

The series streaming will premiere on Daisuki.net on October 3rd, 1 hour after the Japanese broadcast. KILL la KILL will be available world wide (except the following regions: Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, some Asian areas, France and some French-speaking areas). The subtitles will be offered in English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and German.

Daisuki at least makes a small step towards making their service beyond PCs. They now have an iPad app.
