Argh! Comics!

The GOON is my favorite for it's ridiculous sense-of-humor that turns pretty dark on trade 5. Beautiful artwork done with watercolor. Eric Powell is my idol.

Brian Wood comics. All of them. Local, Demo, New York 4 & 5, DMZ, Northlanders and so on. The artist in some of his comics really pushed my art & his story telling hits home to me.

Comics by Nate Powell. His art style & framing of the comics is special.

Blankets is one of the best "first love stories" I've ever read.

BONE is one of the few first self-published comics. Jeff Smith kept true to his creation & made something a lot of people thought wouldn't sell & it paid off. One of the best comics. He has some raw talent.

Chew makes me smile. Nothing else needs to be said.

Planet Hulk has made the Hulk my favorite super hero.

City of Glass is based off a novella by Paul Auster. I loved seeing it in a sequential art form. Maybe one of the most unique feelings I've gotten from a comic.

Superior

Day Tripper

Swamp Thing

Y: the Last Man

Ps. The Illustrator for Invincible attends a comic book meeting every Tuesday at a local coffee shop in my town. It's there to help everyone with their work & give advice. I'm too nervous to attend, but I like the thought that he wants to help others pursue becoming a graphic novelist.

SAGA

This comic series came out of no where and hit me hard. A friend of mine recommended this to me and at first I was really suspicious that it was going to be boring. How wrong I was.
Now I'm kicking myself for not picking up even more volumes of the story, cause I just HAVE to know what happens next Hahaha

Really interesting characters and VERY original. This is NOT for those who are under the age of 13.
Anyways, if any of you really want something new, different, exciting, and unpredictable then by all means look into it.
Wish I discoverd this so much sooner. SAGA, will not dissapoint you <3

Is Wolverine and the X-Men in any way related to the cartoon series by the same name? I really enjoyed the first season of that series but then it didn't get brought for a second

The Walking Dead is my favorite comic series of all time
I also like reading Video games tie in comics like Assassin's Creed or Silent Hill (although Silent Hill's Comics are completely different stories)
Recently I read The Last of Us American Dreams and I highly recommend it for anyonw into The Last of US or just a good apocalypse story in general.
