I don't much care for hospitals too much, I don't care for the environment- more of a psychological quirk than anything. But when I do go It's imperative that I visit the cafeteria. Despite not caring for it I enjoy service work and actually have the oppurtunity to help out at my hospital so I'm both parts excited and timid.

Ive been quite a few times xD
This past year I went to get some stitches in my jaw from an accident that happened in a basketball game. About three or so months prior I was in a really bad car accident in which I was nailed from the side crossing the highway and I was knocked unconscious, had a lot of glass in my face and a concussion and what not. I cant say I hate them because at least for me they get the job done. But I do kind of despise how cold it is in there >.<

That smell of antiseptic is disturbing... When I was younger I had to go to the night doctor for hallucinations and hated seeing all those sick people around, it reminded me of the girl who was sick in the Sixth Sense. So of course when my sister was giving birth and i wasn't aloud inside because i was 15 and had to wait outside i thought i was going to be approached by someone scary.

There were wheelchairs and hospital gowns everywhere and it just makes me shiver, we went to a Greggs in the "Heart and Lung centre" and i couldn't even eat my food thinking of all those two words, it just disturbs me.

Don't worry the sick people won't kill you, only the sick can.

which one are you

You're welcome good sir!

lol, you could say that i guess but i didn't really have too much of a say in the matter xD for all i know i have more planned for me in the future. well wouldn't it benefit you more if they went in there and fixed it for ya? Dx that doesn't sound too comfortable for tonsils to be enlarged ._. can you feel them in their enlarged state? i didnt know how to phrase that otherwise.

I understand that x) i was freaked out too at first, though the next second i knew i was knocked out by gas xP whats tonsilitis? that sounds like a giant pain man, especially since you described it earlier as potentially fatal :(

Nah, I can't feel my tonsils... even though they're enlarged. It just gives me tonsilitis, which is a fancy word for sore throat and you get a really high fever.
It's different from normal people's sore throat, in a way that if I don't take antibiotics on time, they'll get inflamed and burst, that's when I'll start coughing up blood, and the only way to stop that bleeding is to go to the hospital to drink this bitter medicine that heals the wound.

It's only fatal if I'm not near a hospital or in an area without any antibiotics... because I'll either die from the high fever or blood loss.

well thats good o.o; im glad you can't feel your tonsils xD i see, how often do you contract tonsilitis?

ah yeah i bet it is Dx oh god 0.0 that does not sound delightful.. at all xP geeze dude, do you live pretty close to a hospital? i hope so :s bitter medicine sucks!

gotcha, that makes sense.. blood loss would be a pretty decently quick death eh? wouldn't be a cool way to go >.<

I've only been admitted to the Hospital once when I had glass pieced through my thumb, it was okay but a scar for it though. I usually don't like hospitals because of how freakishly clean it is but since my Granddad died there back in 2010, I've grown to dislike them thoroughly.

Last year, I got it 4 times in a row within a 2 months period.

Yeah I'm in the metro area of Sydney, so hospitals are in all direction

Not really, I heard you start getting sleepy, but it'll be a painless death I hope I'm not giving anyone ideas.

wow thats pretty crazy

ah so its pretty busy around where you live then, thats good xP can't have too many hospitals ^.^

how are ya liking Australia btw? :o

oh thats right, lol <.< what am i thinking.. of course it would be slow; but i guess maybe that depends on the rate of whats being lost?

hmm, i would kinda prefer a death like that than other alternatives :p but i won't decide.

hahah in that case, no one try that at home! or anywhere for that matter! xD

But there's not enough staffs, unfortunately Just this week, 4 hospital nurses went on strike because they want the government to increase staffs in hospitals.

I loooove Australia, there was a time where it would only rain once a year, since I hate rain, I absolutely love sunny weather all year round (I feel bad for the farmers though, but at least the government help grant them subsidies for their losses)
So I love the government here, it's pretty neat and not corrupted.

What about Pennsylvania (<--- I can't spell this word without looking at your location), what's it like?

lol you're really funny.

aw man, thats not good. why do you think that is? i don't blame them.. they must be running around a lot trying to tend to all the patients

it seems like a real beautiful place x) but i do hear about giant insects like spiders. they are my biggest fear how do you deal with them? ^^; yeah, well even the weather can't be perfect. couldn't they invent some kind of irrigation system? i'm sure that would be a burden on the water bill though.. ah you can never have a win win situation huh? v_v wow dude the government over there seems really nice i'm proud of them!

i like your government too XD

ah yeah its tricky indeed, sometimes i even second guess myself with the name. well, where i live its not too fantastic. i live in a really small town with a horrible guy to girl ratio.. and the girls here, i hate to say, are lacking in many departments ._. but the state itself is beautiful and filled with some cool areas, natural forests and other cool areas. but sadly i have rednecks here and there. idk id appreciate it if i lived in like, the center of PA. thanks for asking btw

oh and i am? whenever i try to make jokes irl they always crash and burn, but i guess if i don't try i can do okay with comedy

The last hospital I was in had 1 nurse looking after 5 patients XD (Sorry to be laughing, but yeah you get the idea, it's ridiculous isn't it?).

There are nasty animals/insects here... I think Australians call them critters or something. Spiders that will kill you in 5 minutes, snakes, jellyfishes, octopus.
I personally got stung by a blue-bottled jellyfish once, I didn't die. But if you want to know what it's like to be stung by one of these, just google the image, you'll see what it's like

The government tried to come up with a solution, they're called "Desalination Plants", I think where they turn seawater into drinkable water. But the people who live near the proposed location said they don't want such a thing so it was delayed.
My opinion on this topic is pretty much on the fence, I don't know if I should side with the people or the government, since I don't live there, I can't really sympathise with the people... I see the benefits of Desalination Plants though since Australia is surrounded by sea water.

Small town? That sounds like an ideal place tbh. I like the way you describe that there are trees and natural forests. I like that kind of scenery.
But yeah, I can sympathise with you, small towns don't have a lot of people xD But trust me... there aren't many good people anywhere.

Let me tell you this, not everyone can understand your sense of humour.
I know that my humour is lost on a lot of people. People think I'm trolling when I'm making a harmless joke that they don't understand, it's not even a race or gender joke.
Some people have a wide range of appreciation for humour, some people are just too serious and uptight.

Last year I flatlined 3 times, was given over over 10,000 cc's of blood and underwent over 40 surgeries, I was hospitalized for over 3 months. Overall I had no complaints, I was under so much pain medication that nothing in the world bothered me!

Uhhh I've had to go to a hospital every 2 weeks for chemical burns for the past 2 years so a pretty good amount. For actual emergencies like four? I tripped on a lawn gnome freshman year I think and sliced clear across my wrist (It looks like i tried to kill myself if anyone was wondering) and had to get like 16 stitches or somethin'. Also for broken forearm, ankle and a shattered hand (tried "surfing" with a longboard and car going roughly 55 ish mph hit a speed bump and rolled a good block or so before stopping) and that sums it up I think
