Crunchyroll is supposed to encourage us NOT to pirate. You're really pushing it when you don't give us the most anticipated series of the season on time.

My main thing is CR blatantly advertises itself as a service that provides us with the show 1 hour after release. Whats up?

Funimation doesn't have it up either, so i guess the legal sites just make you wait lol

Is it late again this week? At this rate they need to start adjusting the times to match.

It is not late again this week. Countdown indicates it'll be up in about 15 minutes, which is the regular time that CR shows it.

I think the OP was griping because it doesn't come out right when it first airs in Japan. CR has never claimed they would be able to show AoT at that time. In fact, the Sunday morning time is earlier than what they originally announced when they first started--then it was Sunday afternoon.

Everyone has to remember that the time CR and Funimation can release a series is a negotiated point. In fact, Funimation got burned several years ago for releasing episodes early. Generally, CR does release as soon as they can. Additionally, it takes time for the translations, encoding and, loading on the site.

Ahh gotcha. Thought the OP was saying it was going to be late in relation to the scheduled time on CR.

"Watch the latest shows 1 hour after they are aired in Japan."

It says it right there on the Premium page.

I'm perfectly fine with getting it later but this is just false advertising. Don't have it on the page if you're not at liberty to keep your word. We're PAYING for this service so we expect to receive what we paid for exactly as stated.

The free trial page appears to be the only one that mentions an hour. It's probably just a mistake. Every other page says same-day as Japanese broadcast.

Even so, you are still getting what you paid for. Crunchyroll has never claimed to put episodes up 1 hour after the first airing in Japan, just after an airing. In Japan, anime airs on different channels on different days at different times in different parts of the country. Most simulcasts are on Crunchyroll the same day as the first airing, but some of them are determined by the time it airs on a specific channel due to the Japanese licensor forcing that restriction. Attack on Titan is one of those cases where the Japanese licensor causes delays. Plus, even with a 1 day delay you still get to see it before many Japanese people do because of how anime airs on TV in Japan, and they are likely paying far more money for their TV service.

I see what you're saying but be real, you're splitting hairs.

Look I understand your frustration but here's the thing.

CR has an advertised time for the Attack on Titan episodes. It is right there on each episodes page. Episode 7 released exactly when CR advertised it would, not one minute early or one minute late. Back at some point you may have seen some page that was generic and not mentioning specific shows claiming that shows came "1 hour after first airing". Well it may have said that on whatever page you were looking at but I bet there was some legal fine print that probably said that was the ideal, not the promise.

Every show has different agreements on when it can be aired and what regions can view it. The show Attack on Titan is scheduled to be weekly on Sunday at 8am PST. Not whatever time you are hoping it is scheduled on. That is the agreement CR reached with the shows creators, that is when we have to legally air it. It isn't splitting hairs, it is just the way it is. If CR could post it sooner legally, trust me, CR would.

If there is an actual episode delay, such as with episodes 5 and 6, there will be a comment on the episode itself as to why it was delayed. The only two times Titan was late were both due to issues on the content providers side, not CR's, and CR was 100% upfront about the delay. It sucks the show was late, I watch it myself and I didn't like that delay either. But CR will do everything it can to get a show at the best air date possible and without delay because to do otherwise is a disservice to the CR users and frankly, just bad business.

So I am sorry you are upset over this issue, trust me the CR staff understand and wish they could help... but Attack on Titan this week was posted as soon as it could be legally posted and there was no delay. If that is not good enough then there is nothing else to be said, because any expectation for CR to post episode 7 sooner was a false expectation and not promised in any way, shape, or form.
