Everyone says Xbox One is awful etc but I can bet money that people will still buy it. It happened when the 360 came out and it will happen again.

I'm pretty sure I'll stick with the PS4 this time around. Exclusives are getting more and more rare, at least between the PS and Xbox. The last Gears was bad, Halo 4 was better than Reach, but not enough to keep me interested. From what I hear Bungie's next project will be cross platform. And I'm really turned off by the fact that Microsoft is touting this machine as a social supermachine, instead of making me interested in the games. E3 will be more telling, but their reveal was terrible. I've got a laptop, smartphone, and tablet that can more than handle my social media, I don't need a 4th machine to do the same.

I've always been more for the RPGs anyways, and PS is always getting the JRPGs, at least more frequently than MS. I see PS4 having more games that interest me than Xbox 1.

I completely agree. I have been a Microsoft fanboy since the original xbox and from what I have seen I am seriously contemplating passing on the xbox one. I was expecting a console reveal, instead I was shown a very expensive cable box. I love rpgs as well, as they are what originally got me into gaming and the xbox has only a handful of decent ones.

I'm going to get an XBOX One, though I agree that the social machine aspect is a bit of a turn off. Still, I'm not convinced enough to purchase a PS4. I'm comfortable with the xbox, and I really have never been a fan of the PS's controller schemes. It just feels awkward to me. There's also no games that really sell the PS4 for me. There are some I'd like to try, but it's not enough of a want to warrant purchasing the system.

Overall: Tech up, inovation down.

When it comes to the next generation.
I usualy buy both Xbox and Playstation, but this time around I am not impressed by any of them.

PS4: sure it showed some games. While they looked good, for some reason I wasn´t impressed or felt any urge to play them. Same old thing but with better graphic.

Xbox One: They talked about TV, TV, some more TV, how you can change TV-channel with your voice... like that isn´t going to become a huge pain when 2 or more siblings argue over what to watch. Then some sport, followed by sport. A Racing game followed that and finaly CoD with a dog.

Perhaps this is me getting old, but seriously... E3 will have to show something totaly new for me to buy any of them.

You cant say if they are getting worse or better since everyone has a different opinion about them. Personally I think they will have ups and downs as time goes on. The graphics are getting extremely life like and outstanding.

I really wish the XB1 had leaned a bit more towards games and the PS4 a bit more towards social media. Integration and interaction is awesome now that it's becoming common. I'd love my XB1 to be my go to machine in my house for all media, but only because I'm a gamer. I definitely would not spending $500 for a machine that does everything a competitor does while the competitor is cheaper if I wasn't a gamer. Sure they have some unique features, and that's fun. But in reality, take away the games and I'm with everyone else: it's an expensive streaming cable box. To warrant the upcharge from a competitor charging $100-200 for a multimedia mixing bowl, I need to see that the gaming is worth it, and I haven't. Similar problem with PS4 imo. I'd like to see a step forward in multimedia interaction, but the focus should largely remain on games. Really, I just think they need to meet near the middle for me to be happy with either.

I care about the games, not the added features that a console can do. It might be able to search the web, run multiple programs, instantly share videos and heck even make me breakfast, but if the games are bad the console is bad.

Their stock may have went down but its still higher now than it was this time last year. I actually wish I wouldnt have sold my shares right after xmas because I would have made a lot more money than I did.
