Anyone here reading WSJ on a regular basis? Who is not reading it at all?, Why!?

I love getting the newest One Piece, OnePunchMan, Nisekoi, and Toriko every week! and for less than a dollar each issue I think is a steal...

Anyway, WSJ discussion general guys...

Who do you think will win Nisekoi?, Who do you think the 10th straw-hat member will be? : )

I'm also curious to know how you get WSJ and how it works. Do you they send you a physical or digital copy? How long after the Japanese release do you get it?

It's a digital copy. A one year subscription is $25.99. You can buy an individual issue for $0.99. It's released every Monday at 10am PST, so on the same day as Japan, but because of the time difference, it's not technically at the same time as Japan.

I don't because the only thing I'd be interested in reading is Blue Exorcist. So I figured I may as well just buy the full digital volumes of it as they comes out (at $5 a volume) rather than individual WSJ issues (it's only released once a month).

I read shonen jump from my iPad. Lately I've been being my iPad to work so I can read jump during my meal break. One of the beat things about jump is discovering new series.

Shounen Jump is is probably in its biggest transition stage right now. They cancelled like half the new series that they had running over the past year hope they find something that sticks.

And I want my Medaka Box Volumes already >_<

I've been subscribed since its online debut.

As for question #1, I don't really want to predict the outcome of that. For #2, I was thinking Law, but then I remembered he has his own pirate group.

no, because I don't read a lot of WSJ stuff. I think Fairy Tail's the only one I read consistently. But if I did and I had some sort of tablet thing I would consider getting the digital copy. ^^

I don't read it digitally legally because I only care for handful of series that don't even get translated officially.
Where's my Kuroko no Basket and my Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, Viz??
I couldn't care less about Toriko and I don't read Bleach, so paying for a service that I will only enjoy for 2 titles.. when I can read it for free 5 days in advance to top.. is not a good deal.
However, I do support Viz by buying volumes. I love having a good read with my hands in a comfy chair or bed. <3

I read Bleach, Naruto and Nisekoi every week. Honestly, when Naruto and Bleach end I'm gonna be really sad. It's hard to think anything can replace them, but then again, people probably said the same thing when DBZ was wrapping up. Guess we'll see

I've been reading since I got a digital subscription in February. I don't read everything in it, but I do like the chance to read the one-shots and very short series (like Jaco) that I'd be really unlikely to have a chance to read otherwise. I love One-Punch Man, and always enjoy World Trigger, and I keep up with a couple others. Most of the ones I don't read there are the biggies--Naruto because I'm trying to catch up to where WSJ is chapter-wise, and One Piece and Toriko for similar reasons but also because I just don't like really like them.

They have said a few times that they won't be translating Ansatsu Kyoushitsu because of the content and the climate in the US after the numerous school shootings. For Kuroko no Basket they have said that sports manga doesn't do as well but it is a title they have looked at and would look at again.

They have also said a few times they want to increase the number of manga you get in an issue but there is the cost issue. They don't feel most people would want to pay more or the added titles would increase subscriber ship. I know they said they were looking at possible putting in adds to increase revenue and allow them to add more titles. They said they have also talked about adding a second magazine. Personally if they went that way I would rather they do a Weekly Shonen Sunday issue with titles from Shogakukan.
