Have you thought about making your own manga?
I have, actually- I'm a decent writer, but I doubt my artwork is good enough to make a decent manga yet.

What type of manga would you write about?
Something with action, interesting characters and a non-cliched romance- I like thriller manga, so it might be one.

People make manga outside from just Japan, if you had the choice, would you continue to do manga from where you live or go to Japan?

If I made a manga, it would probably be for fun- if, somehow, my book became popular and someone wanted to do a manga adaption of it I would let them do so, because they'd most likely be more experienced with manga than I am. So, basically, no- I wouldn't take a manga I made out of for fun that seriously to move to Japan. But I'd love to visit Japan someday!

Have you thought about making your own manga?
In the sense that I genuinely want to be a professional comic artist and my style has very obvious manga inspirations, yes.

What type of manga would you write about?
I am not really a great writer myself, but I'd love to draw for a very creative fantasy story. So many fantasy writers just go with medieval Europe inspired things, but I want something really special and unique.

I would stay here... or move to the USA. I'd like to visit Japan, but not live there; and, really, 'Westerners moving to Japan to make manga' is not a story with a high success rate... or much of a success rate at all, actually.

Have you thought about making your own manga?
Yes but it was horrendous. I was going for action like code geass but didnt work out.

What type of manga would you write about?
A country was ruling the world and a swordsman was trying to change it with his special power

Have you thought about making your own manga?
all the time, my head is full of a bajillion ideas

What type of manga would you write about?
I enjoy the concept of characters changing through trials and tribulations, actions is fantastic, however I think the build up of a character and the situation is much better than the actual act. having everyone proficient in kung fuu, barely scared of death overly moral and friendly is a little boring sometimes, if i could i would forge characters that needed your investment of interest to understand, not the typical predictable shonen heroes with easy to read motives. probably something horrific and supernatural with a lot of internal struggles and inner monologues riddled with philosophic questioning

Yes! I make OC's(original characters) all the time. I practice. I've been drawing all my Childhood and I've started getting serious 3 years ago.Although I favor realism. I very much love anime design and mainly drew that in school. I would create short 4 chapter manga comics of my original characters and stories in school. Like the OP. School got more and more in the way and I eventually just did concept art desgns for characters in my head. But now I realize how far behind I am as an artist-and want to improve my skills where they are lacking before I create anything my art

What type of manga would you write about?
For manga media.I grew up with DBZ,Shaman King, and Naruto. So definately I'd like to go along the lines of supernatural, action, mystery, romance, adventure, and horror. I was also influenced by video games(like Guilty Gear and Sonic,DMC)also. So I definitely always include supernatural, action and mystery.

Because of hard times(and the fact that I'm not the brightest~maybe far from).I don't want to waste my time moving and would want to make sure I'm confident in my ability b4 I move anywhere. So I'd rather stay in America. But I've made it a goal to go to Japan.Because I feel I have to.Also to study life there. Since alot of my characters and designs come from Japan.I may choose to live there later on in life.

If anyone would like to see my art you can go here:http://luciferd666.deviantart.com/
I'm not that good yet tho.

Wow. You are pretty good. I am horrible at digital art but I'm learning xD

I made manga a lot when I was in high school but I never posted it. I don't plan to start a new one though but I keep making random manuscripts here and there out of boredom.

Have you thought about making your own manga?
I used to be a screen writer in California, but now I live in Texas so I've started adapting some of my screen plays into graphic novels. I used to do them by hand but with my Wacom (or as I call it "my precious") I can illustrate directly into Manga Studio.

What type of manga would you write about?

My screenplays run the gamut from comedy to horror. Right now I'm working on three projects and the one that is better received will be my focus for the near future. The three projects are: Manga Hero (tenative title of my comedy), Angel Falls (action) and Mutant Killer Zombie Cows (horror survival).

Probably stay where I am since I know zero Japanese other than the words for: idiot, pervert and thank you.

EDIT: Actually due to favorable feedback, a short that I created called "I will be your little sister!" is now being expanded to my main project.

Have you thought about making your own manga?

When I was younger, yes. I thought I would be a mangaka when I grew up but then I got a dose of realism. Right now my goals are more along the lines of writing, though that may change with time as well.

What type of manga would you write about?

Probably something along the lines of shounen/seinen with a female lead.

People make manga's [sic] outside from just Japan, if you had the choice, would you continue to do manga from where you live or go to Japan?

I'd rather stay in America, close to my family. I wouldn't mind visiting Japan, though.

Have you thought about making your own manga?

So many times, it's not even funny. But then again, I can't draw very well.

What type of manga would you write about?

My dream manga would be an epic quest to save a fantastic world. Martial arts moves with cool names, magic spells cast by singing the magic words (a la how the Symphogear girls transform--those four incantations have appeared as magic spells many many times in my writing), and cool creatures would be par for the course. There'd be comic camaraderie amongst the party of heroes, but they come to learn that true friends stick together through thick and thin, and that sometimes the greatest heroes are someone you least expected.

I would love to visit Japan one day,but as far as manga goes, I'd prefer to stay at home.

Yes, though my drawing isn't up to par. I've been working on it for over a year and I've been improving, so I'm happy.
For the meantime I've settled for turning my ideas into novels/light novels.

What type of manga would you write about?
It depends. Sometimes different kinds of ideas pop into my head.
Like one was a fantasy shoujo and the other, I'm not sure what to say the genre is, but it's another version of Snow White.
I guess most of my ideas are shounen, fantasy, and action, though. Maybe a little seinen.

I wouldn't mind going to Japan for a little while. I think it'd be nice, but I don't know Japanese, so I would have to spend some time trying to learn the language.

Have you thought about making your own manga.
I'm in the process of making my own manga. I got the characters done two to three years ago (the designs get updated as I get more skilled). I'm pretty good at drawing at the moment (I draw a lot). And yes I would like to publish one in a magazine (or something like that).

What type of manga would you write about?
I would like to do one that's a combo of shonen and seinen. Other than that, I would like to do shoujo as well as a yaoi (or a combo of both which happens to be my favorite combo of a manga that I get interested very fast). Maybe also a bunch of historical ones or parodies of them (Thank you Gintama for the inspiration! )

People make manga's outside from just Japan, if you had the choice, would you continue to do manga from where you live or go to Japan?
I would like to go to Japan for some experience, the scenery (darn it slice-of-life anime for making me jealous of Japan's scenery), and a bunch of other things. I would draw a lot (as well as take pictures but I have to be careful though).

Other notes: I do want my manga to either be published in Dark Horse Comics, Yen Press or other places that publishes OEL's. (Original English language manga).

Have you thought about making your own manga.
Yes! I've recently been thinking up plots for manga but I don't quite have the talent to put it to paper yet.

What type of manga would you write about?
I'd actually like to create a manga like Attack on Titan. One that destroys the reader a little on the inside but keeps them coming back for more. Those are my favorite to read so I think creating one like it would be just as fun! I'd also like to create a mostly-comedic-somewhat-serious one similar to something like Gintama.

I'd like to visit Japan! I wouldn't move there since I would be separated from my family but I'd like to take an extended visit! I think it'd be an interesting experience.

Thanks. I try and practice everyday. I'm still not even half where I want to be though.

From my experience. It drastically helps if you have traditional expertise first and foremost. Not that it should scare you away from digital art practice(the expense is the thing you need to be cautious about). But if and whenever you feel you want to try it out. Just remember. A program can only rectify tedious mistakes and give you opportunities that traditional can never meet. You are hat makes the program work.
