And obviously I said that I prefer, I wasn't saying that YOU or anyone else should prefer it. Isn't the reason for having a forum is to give a personal opinion. I don't have my mommy or daddy paying for my luxuries.

I'm not a "crazy drama otaku," thank you. And my parents don't pay for me, either. I don't live with them.
Being passionate for something I pay for isn't all that odd, really. Perhaps I overdid it with you, sorry

(However, "back off while I'm still being nice"? It's the internet, I'm not scared of you )

Eh, whatever, you shouldn't blow up on people for no reason.

Wait a minute.. So this is a paid site and they are putting 'stuff on the shelves', and we can never watch these again? That's truly unacceptable. What's next, some of our favorite anime shows?

I see you apparently haven't been here long enough to know that a number of anime titles have already been "put on the shelves" in the past (a phrase that shouldn't be taken literally). That said, titles are added in greater quantities than they are lost.

Licenses are not typically infinite in duration. When they expire, the publisher may decide not to renew them, or may be asking more than the current number of views CR is getting justifies. Some titles are also licensed by other companies for home video distribution, and along with that, they may contract for exclusive streaming rights.

Crunchyroll isn't the only company that is affected by this. Funimation.com, TAN, and even Hulu all have had titles that were streamed in the past but are no longer.

Since both me and my wife are learning Japanese, we feel the same. We currently subscribe to anime-only but would gladly expand to drama subscription if there were actually more j-dramas to choose from. (Not that we don't enjoy k-dramas--we love those too.) Hopefully, more shows will be coming to Crunchy. We'd also love to see more documentary and educational shows like Tofugu, Culture Japan and Japancast.

This shouldn't be surprising--licensing costs money and it's probably unsustainable to license everything that comes out in perpetuity. The same thing happens on NetFlix all the time--programs go away and sometimes they come back. Hopefully, shows that go away are replaced by newer programs and more. :)

BTW, this does happen to fan favorite anime Crunchy--the charming and beautiful Usagi Drop went away a few months ago--so watch 'em while you can.

I love Taburakashi and Kurokawa Suzuki. Both were entertaining. Thanks for posting them. I wish you could have picked up more shows from that series.

This! I wish you'd kept up with the Thursday Night Mystery J-Drama series. The next one, Poison looked really good!

I wish there were more J-Drama. I can't stand K-Dramas so far, hopefully there will be a decent one coming out.

out of curiosity, why do they keep their dramas in the vault.. why not just leave them here at C-roll? coz we may not want to watch them now.. but we might want to watch them in the future..

Taburakashi was very good! If someone decided to do it in English probably would have lots of audience. It's a very funny idea, although with more money for production, good actors, and use of Hollywood nowadays make-up, it would be a hit.

Secret agent wasn't bad and fun.

Couldn't watch the third one. Not enough time. Please let us know these take away anime/drama at least a month before the fact. Not everybody can make marathons daily to watch in a week 39 episodes.
