I was watching videos just fine until a few moments ago. The stream just stutters and makes it unwatchable

Can you tell me what resolutions you are trying to stream in? Also, if you contact us via email, we can take troubleshooting steps to solve this.

Unfortunately it's normal for this to happen, it's rare I make it through an episode without some pausing, stuttering or random jumps to the next episode.

I don't even know why they offer 1080p quality, I've never been able to use it and I've got 100Mbp/s download.

Gone through troubleshooting a few times with them, same crap over and over, eventually they stop responding or at least that's what happened with me.

But then you have the occasions where it's constant stuttering which is what I'm getting right now, welcome to crunchyroll.

It was fine for me until about a week ago. Now everything stutters and nothing works. Its really annoying. I have a 60Mb/s connection and every other website works just fine.

Although I don't have this problem all of the time, it happens frequently, especially if I'm trying to watch anything during what I imagine are peak viewership times (i.e., Saturday afternoons or roughly 8 p.m.-midnight EST on weeknights) Sometimes it stutters less or not at all on the lower resolutions, but not always. Sometimes it stutters so badly that I have to pause a couple of minutes for every minute or so I want to watch cleanly (and if you pause for too long, it will play cleanly for a minute or so and then stop, presumably because the connection is lost), while other times just pausing for a couple of minutes will allow it to play quite a while before the problem recurs. And this has been an intermittent problem for months now but has seemed to be more frequent the last month or two.

I have specs on my laptop and cable modem that are well over what this site tells me are necessary for handling even 1080 streams cleanly, and sometimes I can watch them on this site without any problems. That's why I have become convinced that this is some kind of server capacity issue on CR's end. There's no one else on my home network that can account for this problem, either.

My solution for lag and streaming issues has been to use a VPN service to mask my traffic from my ISP.

I first discovered this by using ipv6 which has weak iptables and filtering traffic isnt at the level of ipv4 yet that Crunchyroll would run flawlessly on all my devices.

I didnt stay on ipv6 as i value security but i continued to play with my settings and could not replicate flawless streaming on crunchyroll in any way with ipv4 setting on router or pc until I started using a cheap ovpn service with servers based in the US.. Is a router somewhere or possibly our ISPs are throttling crunchyroll possibly due to past DMCA? It always works Naruto FT, HxH just release? I can connect on the vpn and stream flawlessly otherwise it chokes and stutters.Even today with Hayate and yesterday with Henneko i had to use... dont leave vpn connection on 100% of time it degrades and needs to be reconnected and Ive found dont use the same server twice in a row so get a service with a good server selection... Obviously this is another cost to the end user and shouldn't be a solution by CR staff, but it works. I personally use ipvanish is a lot of them out there though.

As far as my specs i run an eyefinity rig in a haf -942 on an obutto... for sim racing it can handle crunchyroll.

Shuttering has been extremely frequent, started about a week ago. It's getting pretty bad, I've been contemplating suspending my membership due to it

Seriously dont think the issue resides with Crunchyroll I haven't really looked into it but im sure they are using your typical CDN that is used to high loads.. just like other video sharing sites.. that work.
