Still I love my own tuning method of my AE86.

what ems's have you worked on? i have kpro on my laptop and am ordering AEM FIC pretty soon and id like to send you some of my maps and see what you can do with them since you said people ask you to tune their cars for them.

Why would you get an FIC over an EMS? I would actually like to see your maps and see what you are running. Im pretty proficent in tuning.

I've primarily worked with kpro at my friend's shop.

the reason is because i CANT use a standalone EMS on my car because of the type of transmission it is. im guessing you already have an idea on what kind it is. Its a DD so dont bash i can email them as an attachment if you guys can take a look at it for me

Yeah you can send it to me if you want.
But it might be awhile before I reply.
I'm not at all a proficient tuner, aha I'm just a technician.
But I will contact my friend to set aside a day where he lets me use his shop. But it has to be a low business day.
Lasthope seems to know what hes doing, I'm sure he'll get back to you quicker. But you can send it to me too if you want. Aha sorry if this is inconvenient for you.

lol yah it works the best, no problems with it so far my last one freddy (ebay greddy, dont ask why i got it as a gift) and it crapped out on me, and i was originally going to go with a tial or blitz but i got this for a very good price, guarantee no one could beat for a 1 week used bov

oh and i suk at tuning, i actually want to learn to tune...all i do is buy the parts install them and drive lol....and i let someone else fuk with the tuning... i really would hate to see someone miss tune and KABOOM lol

So your currently not tuned right now? Whats your setup? Injector size_stock?(for globals &deadtime), boost level..etc. What is your main goal for it? Mild street tune or an agressive tune? Looking to run e85 also to make more power? or 50/50 mix?.. Well actually when you get the FIC just email me a log of one of your pulls after you have the base setup and we can go from there. Will do.

As of now, everythings waiting on my new manifold to be set up. As for some specs...

-T3 Super 60 .43ar (only good for 300whp but its spool happy so its perfect for a DD )
-WG spring is at 5psi so Id like that to be a DD PSI. Id like to tune it in 1PSI increments until 9PSI because the stock intake manifold is plastic and ive seen people blow it past 9 >_<
-Injectors im ditching the stock ones and going with RSX Type S's that are 310cc's, which are only good to 210-220whp so id like to max them out (which will be near 9PSI)
-my main power goal for a DD @ 5lbs with no internal mods done is only about 160-170whp because it is after all, a FWD car, no need for so much power.
-I will be running strictly on 93 pump gas... no need to tune for anything else

yea, let me get my mani back and install everything. im actually going to use the kpro's basemap and load it to mine so i can atleast have it idle correctly and run without blowing up. The guy i got it from has an idential turbo, injector, and PSI tune so its within the ball park of it not blowing up, as long as i dont hit TOO much boost while going to the tuner.

Haha that brings back so many memories I have of blowing untuned rotary's with a Haltech. I'm not familiar with 4 bangers but be careful dude.

yea i know, thanks for the warning i know not to drive a NA to boosted car without a tune or atleast a baseline map. I mean, I could pull the wastegate spring out and not run boost to the tuner but what fun would that be
