Most of the old school stuff I guess. Not sure if Cardcaptor Sakura got one yet but it's one of my favorite childhood series.

Code Geass, oh wait........ it did.

Though I cannot for the life of me figure out how they managed to maintain such brilliant image quality when they crammed all 25 episode onto 2 discs per season, but thankfully they did.

Also Cowboy Bebop, but that is also being released on Blu-Ray very soon so I am very happy.

Just need a Blu-Ray of Ghost in the Shell SAC and my collection will be perfect.

I believe 5 Centimeters per Second has a Blu-Ray which can be purchased from Amazon.jp called ''5 Centimeters per Second International edition''

It contains English subs and the English dub I believe, but it costs around 5000 yen, and it may also be the reason why there is no other English language version of the Blu-Ray.

Yeah I know there is that one, but I meant a more official English language release like you said (that one has the old dub version on it I believe).

I have another one.

I would love an English language Blu-Ray of the Kara no Kyoukai movies that did not require me to sacrifice the price of a small car to purchase.

That's right, I'm looking at you.

http://www.amazon.com/Kara-Kyoukai-Kyokai-Blu-ray-Box/dp/B0040QE5NI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1369530874&sr=8-3&keywords=kara+no+kyoukai

I wish I was rich, or did not require food.

I know the movie versions of Gunbuster and Diebuster had a blu-ray release.

I think I even saw a blu-ray release of Gunbuster, but it was priced ridiculously.

Yes, the movie versions are, I own them on Blu-Ray. They're just condensed versions of both series. I meant the original 6 episode ova series.

If you were wondering - I got the Gunbuster vs Diebuster: Aim for the Top! The Gattai Movie!, which contains the movie versions of Gunbuster and Diebuster on Blu-Ray with another disc of extra features (they also redubbed the movies with the original casts for each respectively). It was only $70.00 USD. I just looked it up and the price is dropped to around $50.00 USD, if I was reading the price correctly.

I had a feeling that's what you were talking about.

Saw this on Amazon, doesn't seem legit but who knows...

http://www.amazon.com/Animation-Gunbuster-Blu-ray-Complete-BCXA-423/dp/B005FO0BO6/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1369535089&sr=8-10&keywords=Gunbuster

It could be true - it's the Japanese release.

Did a quick search and yep it's true. But, it's only the Japanese release like I said, no subtitles and it's region free. Actually, they have both Gunbuster and Diebuster... oh and Macross.

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=BCXA-423 ~ Gunbuster comes out at 148000 Yen or 143 USD

http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=BCXA-506 ~ Diebuster comes out at 14800 Yen or 143 USD

So all together it'd be 286 USD for twelve episodes on Blu-Ray. Still cheaper than the Fate/Zero boxes, but then again, they feature less extras that the Fate/Zero boxsets (plus, as I said, no subtitles).

I guess to be more specific: a North American Blu Ray release of both the original OVAs of Gunbuster and Diebuster would be best (if they'd re-release Gunbuster like they're doing with Diebuster I'd be satisfied too).

What I really love about Gunbuster and Diebuster is not only the great stories of each, or the excellent voice acting, but the evolution of anime present in both works.

A post I found on youtube:

"Wow, it's the Iceman... I want to be just like him..."
...

"Don't you want to go to the Tennis Nationals, Maverick? Don't you want to reach the top?"

"I want to, but the Space Monsters are too powerful! We'll never beat their team and win that trophy; it's too much!"

"That's too naive, Noriko Cruise!"

"COACH!!!"

HIIIIGHWAAAAY TO THE DANGER ZONE! COME AND TAKE A RIIIIIIDE INTO THE CENTER OF THE GALAXYYYYYY!

And thus did Japan make the best anime ever.

You forgot to mention that Jung Freud is like Asuka's(Evangelion) older sister.

Yeah, characters from Gunbuster were more or less the prototypes for characters from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Like Jung with Asuka or Noriko with Shinji.

I would say any of the anime that had really high quality animation before Bluray media came about .

I agree Death NOte should be rereleased by Viz ,but getting into the Bluray format is not cheap.
Another anime would be is Macross Frontier in 2008 was very high quality but Harmony Gold never did anything to that anime for North America.

Anyway I believe Disney is slowly rereleasing all of MIyazaki movie in Bluray
