Dennou Coil. A very underrated anime, imo.

I would like to see a Birdy Blu Ray. I would also like to see a Yu Gi Oh blu ray, but the thing that will bug me is that the anime wasn't shot in letterbox format. To me, pretty much any anime done in letterbox needs a blu ray release with true 1080p picture.

For those who still question blu rays, the picture is far superior to a regular DVD. I just got The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya via the Blu Ray / DVD combo pack and the BR version looks so much better. Keep in mind, not all BLu Ray discs are created equal. Sometimes they just stick a SD version of the show on a blu ray disc and release it which kind of defeats the purpose. Either that or they do a simple dvd upscale which usually makes the Blu Ray look awful (Check out Gunslinger Girl for a good example of this).

There are many!

These were released in the recently but have not been given one:
1. Otome Youkai Zakuro - however, from what I recall, it didn't get a BluRay in Japan, so that would be a stretch.
2. Tari Tari - This beautiful artwork deserves a BluRay. I don't care if you don't want to go to the expense of dubbing it Sentai! Just give my my 1080p version of Sawa! (Did I say that outloud...)
3. Ano Natsu de Matteru - Same as Tari Tari, but replace Sawa with Ichika and Mio.

Others are older and deserve the upgrade:
1. Ah! My Goddess - include Fighting Wings and the new OAD's as well, please.
2. Toradora! - and while you're at it, get the OVA that was included on the Japanese BluRay release!
3. Any Studio Ghibli film that hasn't be updated
4. Any Shinkai film that hasn't been released in BluRay

Then there are the unreleased in the US ones:
1. Hyouka - PLEASE!
2. Gosick - Pretty PLEASE!!!!

I'm sure there are others that I'm just not thinking of right now...

^ You could always go for imports (Australia, Japan, etc.)

Well in the case of the Gunslinger Girl upscale it didn't look awful per say, but the quality wasn't that much improved from the DVD version. Meaning, if you already have the DVD version don't bother with the Blu-Ray release as there are only minor differences in quality between the two, but if it's your first purchase get the Blu-Ray as the quality is still improved, just not by much.

Though, I own both the DVD and Blu-Ray versions, so...

I agree on the Birdy the Mighty Blu-Ray release (you mean Decode right, not the original ovas?). I also think they should at least re-release the original ovas on DVD, if anything. Maybe as a package release - "get Birdy the Mighty: Decode Blu-Ray/DVD Combo with the original Birdy the Mighty OVAs as an extra bonus (DVD Only)".

It was Birdy Decode. I guess you could say I am spoiled by some really great blu ray transfers which is why as much as I liked Gunslinger Girl I wouldn't buy it unless a revamp is done.

I understand what you're saying. Though, personally, I don't care if it's in DVD or Blu-Ray quality (or even VHS), all I care about is if I can watch what I want to watch, and that everything is working as it should. You know, correctly.

I gotcha. I am so picky because I watch all my anime on a 48 inch full HD monitor. The DVDs look alright, but from time to time the picture fragments and it just looks bad to me. I guess that's why when I went Blu Ray, I told myself I was never going back.
