haha you should try it sometime ... I'm not sure if this thread is supposed to be about "first dates" or dates in general. but as long as you trust the guy and feel safe with him it should be fun (I was a reckless teenager and got myself into some interesting predicaments that would give my mom nightmares if I told her lol O_o).

Mari, want a second date? lol

I'm too careful, i always seem to think of all the worst case scenarios. I might even visit the place of the date before hand and leave weapons hiding away in bushes..... haha >< I need to live a little.

haha Well, the world can be a scary place, so being cautious isn't a bad thing..a machete hiding in a bush could be a great back up lol
I always knew that I had my mighty fists as weapons if anything were to go down..my brother taught me well.

Wuah lucky, I have three brothers and they all look like really cool bouncers but they pretty much joke about me getting killed in all kinds of scenarios giving me more ideas on areas to cover...not helpful for a healthy mind haha.

I'm pretty laid back about dates. I always liked just getting in the car with some good music and going for a night cruise through the back roads and talk. Never know how far you'll go and where you'll end up, it's fun

I did that when I dated, unfortunately the cops kept finding us....a couple of times in compromising positions. There was also the parks, the beach, & the golf course in the wee hours.....got caught in some of those places too. Great funny stories (it was with their father) that I'll never tell my kids. Him & I still reminisce fondly about those days....

haha yup! The beach, parks, golf courses at night = good times. Ahh to be a teenager again.
You and your Hubby sound like you had some good times hehe It's good to have some secrets for just you and him.
My mom likes to over share and traumatize me lol

OMG, MY mom does the same thing.....I'm like MOM!!! I don't want to know anything about you & dad in the bedroom!!!! Then she says, "What?", "It's only your father." I say, "YEAH!" "Exactly why I DON'T want to know!" In the end I had to resort to putting my fingers in my ears and yelling, "LA, LA, LA!" to keep her from saying anymore.

There is a mountain not far from where I am that you can see everything for miles on top of. Its so nice and peaceful to go up there and watch the sun set over the ocean. I've taken my girlfriend up there a few times but I'm pretty sure I enjoy it more than she does. Another one of my favorite places is the pier. I took my girlfriend there on our second date and ripped my pants on a nail that was sticking out of one of the planks, I was trying to be Mr. smooth and after that happened I felt so dumb

Personally, I'm old fashioned. Dinner and a movie works.

I'm kind of that way, too, except every now and then I kind of step it up to dinner and a musical, or -- in my case in a couple of weeks -- dinner and Distant Worlds Concert

But I'm also down with evenings at the park, playing on the swings, cuddling, etc.

The Cemetery. It's because no one complains there.

Actually depending where in the world (eg. Europe) a Cemetery can be a beautiful place to go. They used to bury their dead under amazing sculptures or tributes (eg. Pyramids, Taj Mahal, Most Cathedrals, etc.)

I find a dessert date is nice. Find a classy restaurant or a dessert specialty place to share a apple crumble or "Marble slab ice cream" and just sitting and chatting.

After a movie inside a mall when its basically closed. Its a nice quite atmosphere as everything is closed and you can walk around with her arm hooked around yours, many of my first dates ended with kisses just sitting beside a fountain inside a nearly closed mall to let late night Movie goers leave.

His house, or a coffee shop. I just want to hold hands. :3

And play video games or and MMORPG and party up with him and some friends.

I'd also want to cook for him.

And I actually want to be in a library with him, even if we just read books or sneaked glances at each other.

OMG I am becoming a freaky hopeless romantic *realizes this might not come true due to medical school*

A perfect date for me would be to go rockclimbing, skydiving, and then in the evening, sit by a campfire and tent staring at the stars. It's never going to happen anyway. #Daydreaming is good for the soul.

(There are people out there who think taking you to Mcdonald's count as a date, so in life, it's best to not expect anything).
