I got 450, time for some kid to omnomnom, sadly it's VERY unlikely this is actually going to be given to a child in need. (stolen, not counted, lost, wasted, ect.)

actually my guess is that they estimate based on weight.
I.E.(i know these numbers are WAY off)
100 grains of rice weigh 4.5oz then
1000 grains must = 45oz or 2.8lb's
100,000 must = 4500oz or 281.25lbs
then for what they say has been donated total
99 Billion grains + approx 4,455,000,000oz or 278,437,500 lb's

This is all estimation based on assumed weight so the numbers may be off by a sum.
