I talk casually with them, call them by there first names and what not. They told me to, so that's what I do.
Yeah, I can see that not being a problem. If anything that's a good thing, shows that they are quite comfortable with you. Score points for you old sport, cheers. Oh, by the way, your avatar is freaking awesome.

Why thank you good sir, I love my avatar as well :] haha.

As a side note to what I said earlier and some advise for some people who may need it or not:
I also feel like the best thing to do with anyone you first meet is try to make the best impression possible, and just live up to it. Just don't make a good impression then be a horrible person. Live up to what you set yourself up as, and then I think anyone can learn to respect you. It seems simple and obvious, but I see so many people end up failing at this.

***BROWNIE POINTS ARE GOOD***

aha!

Well I don't have a partner so I don't have to deal with that, luckily. However, if I did, I'd avoid them.

^Agreed. I always did that as well. Even today if I run into an ex-girlfriends' parents I still refer to them as "Mr." or "Mrs." regardless of the closure in age.

After all these years I'm still a loser and wait for them to talk to me or look my way before I start talking..
Im sad...
But sometimes, rarely I have the courage to call them aunty or uncle.

I call my partner's dad, well "Dad" and his mom, I used to call her mom. But seeing how she treats him, I know refer to her by her first name only.

My husband has the same name as his dad (he's a junior). I end up calling him Jimmy. I call his mother by her first name too. Just feels more natural than Mr. and Mrs. Maring.

I don't know his parents, but he knows mine. Since he's more their age, and the fact that they don't care, he calls them by their first names. Besides I think it's easier to say 'Hey Chris, hey Grammy' than 'Hey Mrs. Waugh, Ms. Waugh' since my grandmother now lives with my dad.

I'm almost 32 so I use their first names. They respect me as an adult so it's no big deal. When I first started dating my wife I used Mr. and Mrs. but dropped it after we got married.

I haven't met them yet, plus I'd need to learn a new language entirely before we could even communicate.

I don't have a partner but I'd probably just ask them how they prefer to be addressed.
