I lived in Brazil for a few years so I already speak English and Portuguese fluently; I would still like to learn German, Spanish (which by default of speaking Portuguese I am already able to read it fluently) and then of course Japanese.

Irish and Russian. They're the most beautiful languages in the world, in my opinion, and I would really like to connect with my culture better. I suppose Japanese would be nice to know, but I'm not really interested in learning it right now.

Honeslty I don't understand the question, if somebody says they want to learn Spanish then they want to learn Spanish.

For the most part they are all similar except for maybe a few different words or pronunciations. I only ask out of curiosity :/

So when you were taught English in school you actually learned American then? Good to know.

After learning Japanese, I would love to learn German before Russian.
The Russian language looks difficult to learn for me, yet I wanna try.

I know Spanish/English to a high degree. I also know French although I have had so little practice for it I probably can't use it anymore. I'm learning Japanese at the moment and hope to become competent by the end of this year. I've just mastered half of the hiragana in 3 days so I feel optimistic. I've memorized a few basic common words phonetically over the years so that is handy. I took a picture of my whiteboard --> http://imgur.com/gallery/vmWuEZH

My first language was Cantonese, which is a dialect of Chinese. I later learned English, which I am now more fluent in than Cantonese because everyone around me speaks English.

I'd like to learn Arabic, mostly. And Latin, if I can manage it. They are the mothers of all languages, and most ancient tomes are written in those languages. I know firsthand how much gets lost in translation, especially over time, so I'd like to be able to read those books in the form that they were meant to be read.
