Have you tried changing your DNS settings to use either OpenDNS or Google's Public DNS:

Not really no, just got in and thought I would watch some new anime and it's a total lag fest. Ended up on AF watching the same show, not sure why I bother with this site sometimes.

same. I've been telling myself for the past few months I'd end my subscription soon and just download stuff if the choppy playback doesn't get better. I keep putting it off, but this problem isn't going away. One of these days, Alice...

I just started my 14 day trial and I won't bother keeping the sub if this is how things are going to go. I have been trying to watch all my favorite episodes and I might get 2-3 without a issue one day, but the next i just get nothing but choppy playback. If i have to turn it to SD to make it play and they still suffer through loading and delays what is the point?

It is not my net connection. I have already made sure of that before this complaint. 50/15mbs great pings, no packet loss, and sub 2ms jitter. I should be able to stream these all day without issue.

I have noticed however that I do not encounter this issue on the xbox one, so maybe its a streaming/codec issue for pc in general.

Yea, I have to watch crunchyroll on my phone. Streaming to the PC has been terribad. Stuttering even on SD.

Been rewatching Kuroko's Basketball and I got to mid season 2 over the past week, but I can't even get 2 seconds into an ep before it becomes unwatchable even on SD. Fine on phone though.

I barely started my trial. Tried watching Aldnoah.Zero on my i3 4gb ram Intel HD4000 laptop and it stuttered on all versions (from 1080p to SD with and without hardware acceleration). I should mention I have 100mbit up/down connection from a router that gets fed a gigabit connection with an average latency of 37 to the crunchyroll website. Thought maybe the hardware is crap so I went on my mac pro (from 2010, Xenon with 16gbs of Ram and direct gigabit connecton) stutter persists. Crunchyroll, I would like to make believe your service is the one stop solution to my anime needs (tho your offering is quite limited in library) but this kind of service is going to make me leave your service before the trial is over. I am quite the nitpiker when it comes to anything, and the stutters make me so nervous I had to pet my 3 cats in order to calm down while smoking.

I'm not sure why people are still recommending this. I have done that and more. I have local DNS caches (dnsmasq), use OpenDNS (Google DNS same diff), high speed computers, blah blah blah.

I ONLY have these stuttering problems during prime time on Crunchyroll. Hulu, Amazon are fine during the same periods. Saturday mornings, no problem either.

I have had these issues with two desktops on Linux and Windows and a relatively recent Samsung tablet. Again, only on CR.

Of course, if I used F***ation things would be even worse, but hey, I don't subscribe there either.
