I'm assuming that I've got an Australian accent, not that I can personally hear it or anything.

Ehhhh . . . I'm a Long Islander and it's really only when I'm annoyed that I can hear any accent. Otherwise it's pretty neutral. I've heard some really thick ones though - I don't elongate my words to such an extent.

I agree with AnimeXCrazy911, this thread is pretty cool and original.

I was born and raised in New York. I don't really see myself as a someone with an accent, but to others, it may seem like it.

I never had much of an accent, growing up in North Dakota you don't always get one. If I think about it I can do a great mid-western accent like some of my relatives have.

I'm from South Yorkshire in England. I guess I have a Yorkshire accent which I can't hear. But people that aren't from Yorkshire might hear it.

I'm from Yorkshire, England and I have a Yorkshire accent. It's been toned down a lot now after going to university and travelling (as no one outside of Yorkshire understands the Yorkshire accent ), I was bored and recorded the YouTube accent tag words.

Cute voice, and very easy to understand. Here's mine.

I grew up in the southwest, and have lived in southern California, the Pacific northwest, the upper midwest, and the south. Each area has rubbed off on me a bit, although I still have a very western machine-gun way of speaking. I also spent a few summers bombing around youth hostels, and picked up a few strange inflections, although it's been a few years. I enjoy my vowels more than I did as a child.

Last summer I drove across the south with my father, and when I stopped for gas in Mississippi and Alabama the filling station attendants couldn't figure out what the hell either of us were saying. Seriously, there was a family speaking Tagalog in one station and they got the same blank looks that we did.
