I just downloaded the app on my PS3, which is wireless but I'm on a 50Mb up/down. I have no problems with any other streaming services (Netflix and Hulu Plus) but every time I load the app I can't navigate without it locking the PS3 up totally. I have to hard-power down to reset each time.

I have the latest updates but it still locks up. Any suggestions?

Not many steps:

1) Click application
2) After it loads I try to navigate around
3) System locks.

I have this same problem. It appears to happen with shows that have a lot of episodes. If I do the following, it will lock at some point.

1. Navigate to Bleach in my Queue.
2. Select More info.
3. Select Videos.
4. Press R2 to navigate through the seasons multiple times (e.g., 4).
5. After this, press the right arrow on the D-Pad several times until it locks.

It only seems to happen on the Videos section and you need to navigate through a number of episodes for it to happen. It may be the memory leak problem that causes other issues in the PS3 app. I've been able to navigate through the all the seasons fine with R2, but if I stop at a season and then navigate through individual episodes with the D-Pad, it will lock if you press it enough times. It doesn't just happen with Bleach, it happens with any show that has enough episodes to see the bug. I just picked Bleach as an example.

I also have the same problem with a couple anime in my Queue.

1. Navigate to Oreimo/Naruto.
2. Press Square (More Options).
3. Select Videos.
4. Navigate right. (Attempting to go to episode 13 of Oreimo will force crash.)

The end-result is the PS3 crashing and needing a hard reboot.

There were a couple other anime I've had this issue with but I can't remember the names.

It's been a problem since the app launched. Trying to navigate episodes in a large series = system crash.. I get it trying to get past episode 114 or so in Naruto shippuden (320 episodes I think), so it makes a lot of the seasons inaccessible.

The end-result is the PS3 crashing and needing a hard reboot.

Please make this application more stable since I am paying for this service

I'm also a paying member and i'm having the same problems.. it makes think twice about keeping my membership if this might damage my ps3

I have this problem and more.. I've asked for help.. I've been "helped" .. still happens.. I think the app is just broken. lol I checked that "what's going on with Playstation!?!" link, it's a list of steps to try and ignore the glaring problems with this ps3 version :/ I can watch 1 episode then it freaks out on me and I have to quit the app.. really sucks. lol

@TheGodRa I feel the same actually. I have my PC in the living room so I can't just watch what I want in here.. and I cancelled my 360 gold for a while. So unless the VITA works out? I'm going to have to cancel my membership. Why pay for something I can't use? :/

Ugh, I just typed a really detailed report, and the forums had an error when I hit submit and erased it all ><

Here we go again.

300gb ps3 with system software 4.46

Internet connection is a 60mbps down, 30mbps up.

Used apps on the ps3 are: crunchyroll, crackle, huluplus, youtube, vudu, amazon prime video

Huluplus gives me trouble sometimes, and I stopped using it. I refuse to pay for something that stays broken longer than a few weeks.

So what happens?!
Open crunchy app, which is located below netflix, and amazon prime. Orange icon with white.

Grey screen with white lettering/logo and dots. Dots "move" to indicate connection with server.

Top left has orange logo with white lettering, below that is queue and history. Top center is menu functionality, and center is queue listing.

Browsing queue has a 50% chance to hard lock system. Hard lock = I have to get up, walk to the system, and manually power down. All blu-ray remote/dualshock functionality ceases.

Reloading the app after system restart, continue to browse.

Select show (if lucky) and hit the ok/x button. At this point screen goes dark. I have a 40% chance during this time that it will work. If the time is displayed (0:00/22:43) show will play, subtitles will work, picture quality is full 1080p (if supported), and I can skip to next episode, rewind, skip back, skip forward etc. If audible "BEEP" is heard during screen black, system will hard lock.

Oreimo s2, episode 10 gave me fits. I had 12 hard locks trying to get that episode to play. I tried skipping ahead from 9, skipping back from 11, and letting the app change automatically after 9 ended. I eventually switched to pc.

I've stayed quiet about it in hopes that enough people would have reported this, but seeing as how its been several months now, I've decided to report my issues. No other streaming services cause me trouble, even the free ones like youtube or crackle. Maybe by adding my thoughts we can get enough together so someone can look into the code. Who knows, maybe paying for a service doesn't = customer help anymore either. Ohwell, attitude aside, I can't really complain about anything else. The gui is well done at least.
