POKEMON WAS MY LIFE. When I was six or so, I told my two best friends that I wouldn't like them anymore if they didn't watch Pokemon. Yeah, I was a bit of a tyrant. They ended up getting pretty into it though, so they should thank me.

Dragon Tales was my second favorite, and Tom and Jerry a close third.

I've been watching cartoons (mostly domestic stuff; anime only relatively recently) most of my life, but if we define "childhood" as, say, pre-teen years, I remember faithfully watching and enjoying the Superfriends and Thundarr the Barbarian every weekend. I remember watching the Smurfs a lot too, but that was much more my sister's choice. There were also the classics: Looney Tunes, Woody Woodpecker, Tom & Jerry; these were largely afternoon after-school staples, in all their politically-incorrect glory.

As further memories get unsurfaced: add to this reruns of the Amazing Spiderman, Johnny Quest, and the Herculoids.

Anyone else watch those action cartoons from the 80s? MASK, Bionic 6, Centurions etc.... I think I liked the openings with the catchy theme songs more than the shows themselves.

One of the comments mentions how most of the show openings were animated in japan, but not the shows themselves...

For me it would be Dexter's Laboratory, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo and Power Puff Girls. (Not listing anime, just cartoons) Apparently when my sister was young it was twenty times more awesome to be a kid, especially with cartoons.

Same, but I also watched Rugrats and the Mr. Bean cartoons, Hey Arnold, Cat and Dog, Cow and Chicken... Yeah, I was bored when I was young

Batman the Animated Series.
Batman Beyond
Spiderman
Beyblade
Virtua Fighters
Also did Power Rangers count as a cartoon? Even though it was aimed for kids and it was Live action.
