It was good. Could have been a lot better but still worth a watch. Interesting concept though

I own a copy on Blu-Ray.

Really, Dance in the Vampire Bund and Canaan isn't a fair comparison as they are strikingly different.

If you liked it, you may also like Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, Black Lagoon, Noir, Madlax, El Cazador de la Bruja, Gunslinger Girl, Spriggan, Garden of Sinners, Ga Rei: Zero, Dogs: Bullets & Carnage, Shiki etc.

Here's samples of the soundtracks of each:

Spriggan OST Jing Jing:

Shiki OST Pendulum:

Couldn't find one for Dogs: Bullets & Carnage, but then again I wasn't looking too hard for songs..

Ive seen most of those actually :D

My favorite Canaan scene:

This has much higher production values than I'd remembered.

It's probably enough to keep me watching until the plot kicks in later.

Ya know ive been watching Anime from the time i was like 8 years old and i dont feel like i could have a list near that long .-.

Although if i think really really hard maybe, but ive been sort of 'stuck' in the same generation of Anime for a bit now. It was from around when i REALLY started getting into Anime, and seeking it out of my own accord- Id say maybe 6-7 years ago?

At any rate; thank you. Im going to bookmark that list :]

I doubt that'll happen, it's already enough to make me wish Psycho-Pass had been done by P.A. Works instead of Production I.G. Now I'm wondering why I stopped watching this when I did.

If you make a MAL it might grow faster than you think it would.

I can understand why you did, it honestly does start off rather slow. The first 4-5 episodes are just introducing things.

CANAAN is based on a Japan only videogame at the time, 428: Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de

Havent played it, dont know if its better, just know the Anime is based on the game.

It would've been four years ago, so maybe I just didn't appreciate good animation for its own sake at the time. This is really good quality. Or maybe it just looks that way after finishing watching a series by Clamp. XD

Finished; thanks a bunch for bringing this anime up, I might not've watched it otherwise.

Every person had a bona fide character arc, it was so amazing.
