Got my 4 tickets for Euromillions draw on Friday!
Can't be bothered not to win this one. I read on http://euromillionsnews.wordpress.com/ blog that this draw might become the biggest jackpot in 2013, so definitely worth trying.

My thoughts in lottery in general: I never win it :<
But then again, you have to be in it to win it. I don't count on winning but you never know when your 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% change will strike. So why not try my luck?

This is definitely the best Forums » Entertainment » Console Gaming thread ever! /sarcasm. The lottery is just another way to steal the hopes, dreams and paychecks of those who believe in the easy way out.

You guys are so pessimistic. Doesn't explain why almost 30% of Brits play EuroMillions
And the chances of winning the overall prize are 1 in 13 so not that bad, right?

So this "overall prize" that you're talking about is the chance to get the money you spent back? You have a 1 in 13 chance of getting your money back? Sounds like a terrible trade off. Why not just go play roulette and put your money on a single color then you almost have a 50% chance to get your money back OR double it (green being the odd ball and I don't know the actual ratios/payouts so I'm not giving an "expert" opinion just using an example)

30% of them play because of that glimmer of hope for an easy life by taking the easiest way out and the selling point is its a cheap gamble. Might as well just save your money and invest in something worthwhile or go buy something nice for yourself from all the money you would have otherwise lost.

Oh and this website http://www.euro-millions.com/prizes.asp says lowest chances are 1 in 23 which is waaaaay worse. Want the grand prize? Its only 1 in 116,531,800. But yeah, totally possible... Like I said, go do something better with your money than gamble it away. Some people get carried away with those damn lotteries that they sell their homes, cars, personal belongings, etc. etc. and its just not worth it.
