So, here it is the latest Makoto Shinkai masterpiece.

I really enjoyed it. I was touched.

If you liked his previous works this one won't disappoint you at all.

I'm a fan of his works. One of the reasons why is that his works are so perfectly made (I mean the animation). Those details are breathtaking and looks so real. If you think that his previous animations were full of details and looked realistic I must admit that they're not half good as this one.

If you really want to enjoy then watch it in FHD.

I'm still impressed how realistic rain looked like.

Basically I recommend this masterpiece to anyone. If you're fan of good animation you should watch it.

Now here's the plot summary (don't read if you haven't watched yet or it won't be as interesting as it would be):

My thoughts and opinion:

Please comment and tell me your opinions on this masterpiece.

PLEASE USE SPOILERS!

The cover is already amazing. (Yeah I judge an anime by the cover lol...)

I'm definitely giving this a try. Will post back my thoughts later.

I already made a thread for this:

But ya, the movie was pretty damn good imo despite its rather blend story.

Didn't find it so I made this one. I hope mods will remove it or is it possible to do it myself?

I'm not sure. I don't mind if this discussion stays here though since there's rather a lack of discussions in the other thread.

Alright then. Hear are some pictures that made me think that I was in nearby forest at the river in my hometown:

Yeah I watched it. It's not really my type of anime.

The art is amazing though.

True. They say that Makoto Shinkai is a new Miyazaki. If you watch his animation you can tell that they're also amazing. Even though sometimes the story sucks as for myself I'll expose Nausicä for the Valley of the Wind - the plot sucks (the war between people and bugs and how they should stop fighting and live in peace.

For Garden of Words, it's not the plot that I had a problem with; it's the intense focus on dialogue. The phrases were sophisticated.

What I'm trying to say is, this show's artistic calibre is too high for me, it went over my head. I couldn't understand it, so I'm unable to enjoy it.

Miyazaki's works are easier to understand, so it's more enjoyable for me.

Considering I hate 5cm I was expecting to hate this as well.

Was pleasantly surprised though, it didn't have a protagonist so self absorbed and stuck in the past that it takes him years to move on. The story itself was touching, and I think the conclusion was pretty realistic while remaining happy.
