1) What skills do you possess that would make you a good candidate for this position?

I have a good personality and I have a good knowledge of what's appropriate and what is not in discussions despite the fact that most of it seems to be common on the internet in which some people would be offended by it

2) What would your moderation style be?

I would go for a kind approach, I believe a mod should be kind but not too kind of course as we are to maintain a sense of maturity on the site.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories, and do you post often?

I try to of course but of course lately I've been busy with exams currently but I hope to participate more often this summer and on.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

I believe I have done a few times but of course I report ones that discuss inappropriate content etc.

5) What do you feel is an appropriate amount of time to spend moderating?

I believe you should put as much time as possible as it can be at least more than 2-4 hours so that you won't be inactive, I also believe you can also branch off the times in case something occurs irl that may delay you from participating in jobs, of course you must post that you'll be doing that so that you wouldn't be pinged for it

6) Aside from Anime, what other hobbies do you have?

I enjoy playing with computers and being all techy, I also have been studying in Virtual Reality and have been much more inspired by SAO and hoping to bring forth that dream as much as I can by removing my time on Anime and gaming.

7) What timezone do you live in?

EST

8) If you have any other comments that you feel are necessary and weren't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:

What if moderators have to take a sudden leave in which may not be able to carry out their responsibilities? (I'm going to Japan on vacation so that's a start)
Will there be an opportunity to progress in Crunchyroll job wise?
Are we allowed to participate in Crunchyroll activities for moderators who perform satisfactory in the eyes of the Crunchyroll staff?

I have more questions but I am just shooting those out for now, thank you for reading

1) What skills do you possess that would make you a good candidate for this position?
My skills with a computer are great, I am on crunchyroll often and when I’m waiting for anime I’m looking at the forums and the news. I made a group for an anime and I run it in a professional manner making sure there are no fights or inappropriate talking. I feel that with the experience that I have from the group I would be ready to be a moderator.

2) What would your moderation style be?
I would observe the forums to make sure that none of the rules are being broken. If it happens that a person is breaking any of the above rules I would PM them to give them a warning. Considering there are so many forums I would keep switching back and forth.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories, and do you post often?
I look at the forums during the week after I watch the animes that came out that day. I don’t post, as often I would like.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
I have not reported any inappropriate threads because the ones that I look at haven’t had anything inappropriate thing in them.

5) What do you feel is an appropriate amount of time to spend moderating?
After I make sure that I can be on crunchyroll for sometime the hours I would spend moderating would be between 4-9 hours

6) Aside from Anime, what other hobbies do you have?
I am in a program at school called NJROTC that stands for Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Core. The program is to develop your leadership capabilities we use the rank system like the navy but in the program you’re in no way obligated to join the navy or any military branch. I work as an Assistant to Administration of our staff run by cadets (students). This gets to be an extremely stressful job that takes up my time when i am at school next year i am in line to be the next Administration officer but as you can since i still watch anime i can manage any stress.

7) What timezone do you live in?
I live in the pacific time zone (PT)

8) If you have any other comments that you feel are necessary and weren't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:
I am great with computers and would love to have this job to be on this website more often. i am a great worker and stress isn't really a thing to me unless im waiting a week for an anime now that is the most stressful thing in my life even though it should be NJROTC. I hope ou consider me for this job.

I am very articulate I am able to diffuse situations usually rather quickly by explaining all sides of the matter.

2) What would your moderation style be?
I would be as informative as I could be and friendly I would also not have qualms in resolving issues between other posters and making sure that everyone is treated fairly.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories, and do you post often?
I tend to use forums for my own personal endeavors. I frequent a variety of them including topics like cars, anime, cosplay, and gaming. I will post often if there is a topic I am excited about!

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
I have only had to report a thread once as there was someone who was being rather offensive/ childish and there was no talking them down. That can happen unfortunately :/

1) What skills do you possess that would make you a good candidate for this position?
The skills I possess for this position are that I am currently a student of Information and Security Insurance. The skills that are learned in this field will help myself be a great moderator. I am also a MRT member in the military which is known as a Master Resilience Trainer. This position allows me to teach other people how to deal with difficult situations without losing their cool. I also teach them how to look at situations with a different outlook so as not to over react in situations and to defuse situation which they have no way out of. With all of my formal training I know I would be a great asset to the Crunchyroll team.

2) What would your moderation style be?
My moderation style would be objective. I would have to look at the comments made from an objective point of view without a biased opinion and delete any comments/post that are made to discriminate or demean in any manner. I would also have to look at the arguments being made in the same manner as well to solve the arguments without taking the side of either of the parties. This approach is the best one I could come up with for this kind of group.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories, and do you post often?
I do not visit the official forums as much as I should. I do however hope with this position it will help myself get out there more and post and chat with other members. I tend to post often in the forums attached to the episodes of anime and starting to in the drama section as well. I am trying to be a little better versed in this web site since I do spend so much more time on here since my free time has escalated by so much being deployed in Germany.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
I have reported inappropriate thread on two different occasions on this web site however when I was a PC gamer guild master I deleted more than my fair share of inappropriate posts on the web page that I had built from scratch. I took web page design and I am a frequent HTML5 writer for some of the mom and pop shops in my area. I also had to check up on their web sites in the past to make sure inappropriate content was not listed as well. So reporting or removing inappropriate threads is not a new concept for myself.

5) What do you feel is an appropriate amount of time to spend moderating?
An appropriate amount of time to spend moderating is such an open ended questions for a volunteer positions. However if you take pride in the work you do like I do I would have to say the time I would put forth in this position would most likely fulfill the needs of the site owners. This is because some days you will have to put more effort into moderating then others it all depends on the website traffic.

6) Aside from Anime, what other hobbies do you have?
Anime is one of my biggest hobbies however I am not starting to get into drama as well all thanks to the Drama section of Crunchyroll and my curiosity. Other hobbies I have are inventing better ways to complete my job as a CST member of the military, snowboarding, drawing manga, computer coding, and just about any task that has to deal with a computer itself.

7) What timezone do you live in?
Central European Time
UTC+01:00

8) If you have any other comments that you feel are necessary and weren't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:
If selected to be on the Crunchyroll team I will strive to make the Crunchyroll community the best community available on the World Wide Web. Thanks for your consideration for this position.

1) What skills do you possess that would make you a good candidate for this position?
I've previously been a moderator for the forum of a prominent casual gaming site, so I do have moderating experience. I've been a member of Crunchyroll since 2008, during which I've been extremely active in some years more than others, so I believe I'm well acquainted with the site. As far as solid qualifications, I don't have much to offer since I am after all a high school student. However, I can say that I've held multiple leadership roles in both real-life and online settings. An SAT score of 2100 won't mean anything in the scheme of things (I'm not applying for college here, lol), but my tenacity and perseverance in any position I assume can speak for itself.

2) What would your moderation style be?
My moderation style is fair but not hard-handed. I like to be friendly with other users, because the idea is that we've all been brought together by a common interest. I'm very tolerant of those who are well-meaning yet unsure as to how forums (or this forum in particular) work. I've dealt with "trolls" before; personally, I've noticed the general consensus is that if they don't overstep their boundaries, it's all in good fun. If I were to see otherwise provocative behavior, I'd resolve the problem by nipping it in the bud. As a moderator, I consider every situation separately and don't necessarily have an automated response to "similar issues" and what not. I'm careful not to act in a prejudiced manner to benefit or place certain users at a disadvantage as I please. It's a case of 對事不對人, a popular Chinese saying which means to look at the situation but not the individual involved. I'm a pretty cooperative individual, so I always take into account what other moderators think as well as how other members feel.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories, and do you post often?
My activity on the forums is gradually rising again. I haven't been as active as I used to be, mainly because in the past year I've been preoccupied with a number of AP courses. Lately, I've been roaming the forums more often than I post, especially due to the time constraint I've been under. However, my schedule is currently not as demanding, nor will it be for the next school year, so I have much more free time to visit and post in the forums.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?
I rarely do so, mainly because most inappropriate threads have already been locked by the time I see them. I tend to report inappropriate posts more often than I do threads.

5) What do you feel is an appropriate amount of time to spend moderating?
It really depends on the number of threads created and posts generated per day in a given forum category. As of now, I feel that a couple hours a day should suffice, though it would be sensible to drop by throughout the day, if even for a few minutes.

6) Aside from Anime, what other hobbies do you have?
I like watching Asian dramas from different countries. One of my side hobbies is translating Chinese and Taiwanese dramas from Mandarin to English, since Mandarin is my second strongest language. I also enjoy casually learning Spanish and Korean, and I do intend to place greater emphasis on my language studies once I take care of my more immediate priorities.

7) What timezone do you live in?
Pacific Time Zone.

8) If you have any other comments that you feel are necessary and weren't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:
As corny as it sounds, in the five years I've been here, I've always felt the urge to do something more for Crunchyroll; I just never knew exactly what that would be. Before this site had to obtain broadcast licenses from content owners, I had always wanted to translate and upload television shows but was too technologically illiterate to do so. Indeed, times have changed. CR has given me Premium Memberships through contests before, so this isn't new to me as an incentive. This time, I'd really like to give back—in a way I enjoy, which is foruming. Thank you for considering my application!

1) What skills do you possess that would make you a good candidate for this position?

I'm well-spoken and have a great deal of experience in customer service. I feel I'm attentive to the recurring problems that moderating the forums incurs. I'm also fairly up-to-date on the industries of various technologies and Japanese animation. I've never been a moderator before but I certainly know I have the skills to be one if selected.

2) What would your moderation style be?

My style would focus on congeniality, consistency and fairness. The main approach of my moderating would to be polite and rational with each matter. Although each moderator is different, another important aspect would to be uniform with the core beliefs of fellow moderators. Yet each moderator will ultimately have a different set of skills and sensibilities and that's something I believe makes moderating challenging and fun. Each issue and each user are unique and might require a different solution to resolve the problem; that takes a lot of flexibility and it's something I feel I can bring to the table.

3) How often do you frequent the official forum categories, and do you post often?

Quite often. I browse and post in most of the different categories with great regularity.

4) Have you reported inappropriate threads before? If so, how often?

Yes. I've reported duplicate and misplaced questions in the forums for some time now. I usually find myself honing in on the general discussion, anime, forum games and music forums because they seem to sustain the most traffic.

5) What do you feel is an appropriate amount of time to spend moderating?

I believe it's proportional to the amount of activity in the forums, which with the rising amount of users I feel will be increasing from now on. So personally, I say it's pertinent to at least check up on reports and other matters every day and then devote enough time, maybe a few hours, to moderating and organizing the forums.

6) Aside from Anime, what other hobbies do you have?

Besides working, I'm active in devoting a lot of time to playing and discovering music.

7) What timezone do you live in?

Central Time Zone −06:00

8) If you have any other comments that you feel are necessary and weren't covered in the other questions, you may write them here:

Over the course of these past two weeks, I've realized I love Crunchyroll too much to not take a more assertive role in making it a better place.

I feel there is not an "appropriate" amount of time to spend. I would moderate while I am on this can vary. I am almost always on the site if not playing a game. 6) Aside from Anime, what other hobbies do you have?
