Hello! My name is Samantha. I'm 19 years old and I live in Arizona, USA (aka the desert).
I just finished my first year of college...(community college)!
I was lucky enough to visit Japan last month with my Japanese class (from college).
It was the greatest experience of my life.

If you dream of Japan I think you should definitely dream of other places too. Japan is exotic but so is the rest of the world. It's great to immerse yourself in other cultures. I've only done it once but I'm dying to do it again :)

I left a comment in the guest book but I'll expand it here. If anyone has questions I'll be happy to answer - especially since my trip is still a little fresh in my mind.

Hey, I'm Wednesday. I want to go to Japan (haven't even been out of the country), but I'm not sure how I'll be able to afford it. I love Japan and Japanese culture/language and want to experience them for myself.

Hey J Dreamers,
My name is Devin, friends call me Silver.
25 years old living in Florida with a total of 7 years Japanese study.

I've always thought that Japan was a cool place, but after studying abroad in Tokyo for a summer in 2010, I completely fell in love with the country. Not just Japan but overseas travel in general. During my study abroad, I ate lunch with the mayor of Gero, had the weirdest conversations with the Yakuza and their female "entertainers", got constantly mistaken for either Ne-Yo or Usher, accidentally got drunk hours before giving my Japanese speech to my host school board (and aced it), and so much more. I've visited Japan 3 times and will go again this year. Last year, I spent 2 weeks in Bangkok, Thailand. Thanks to my job I can afford to travel literally every 1-2 months. Its bittersweet as I have no friends who can go with me. I wish that I could get to know other like minded people to travel with. Who knows, maybe I'll find them here XD
